It depends on the breed. My golden sleeps through visitors. My pekes use to go wild and refuse to stop barking. The dachshund licks visitors repeatedly. The chihuahuas sniff them and walk away. It just depends on the breed of dog. Years ago we had a lab who slept through visitors. The shih tzus would greet them and lay at their feet. I have had a lot of dogs over the last 40 years, and each breed has its own personality.

No, because my dogs don't understand the english language.

Yes, currently I have only two dogs, but I have trained them for over five years now so they respect me when I tell them to do something.

No. Mine needs to meet them properly before she will stop barking. Then she will stay quiet.
