I've helped take care of my aunt's dog and I helped potty train it, so I have that part down but, what food, what toys, what to get, there are so many choices and it's so hard to decide!

When I got my yorkie, the best place to go for information and advice was yorkietalk.com . It is a great (free) forum where yorkie owners talk about their yorkies, ask questions, post pictures, etc. We would love to have you there!

You should provide some rawhde bones for your dog, but my mother says to much rawhide is dangerous for a dog. at petco they have real cattle bones that are filled with some flavored filling and they can keep a dog busy. and maybe you should ask your vet what kind of food is best for your dog. If it is still a puppy when you get it, make sure that the food you give it as a puupy will be the same until it is 1 year old. then you could start changing the food around a little bit. Good luck!

toys will depend on what the dog likes to play with. u just need to take time to take her to the store and try to see what she is interested in. as for food people r going to tell u thinks like purina puppy chow and the cheap stuff that u can buy at like walmart. these dog foods r cheap for a reason and that reason is that they r made almost completley out of fillers and by feeding ur dog this u r almost feeding it poop. that food is crap. i feed my dog this

chicken soup for the dog lover's soul dog food. it is a little spendy but when it comes to ur dog's health it really does help. just look at the ingredients on a dog food label before u buy the food. if the first ingredient is something like corn or wheat. it is probably crap. so dont buy it. hope this helps and congrats on ur new puppy

Well first of you, you have to stop referring to dogs as "its" then you should expect expensive vet and grooming bills. Then you should expect to feel love for this little yorkie more than you love life. Dogs have that effect on me. When I see one I feel a strong love and bond but thats just me
