fear... do not hold her coddle the dog when she is in this state. This will only promote anxiety in the dog and the dog will eventually not be able to do anything without you. instead before she gets the fear response, begin playing with her or do some simple training excercises.. such as sit and treat.. down and treat... rinse repeat.. if she is focused on something else and being rewarded she get over her fear and manage it many other parts of her life.

yeah - thats a fear response. if she's small - can you hold her tightly on your lap in the car? often felling 'protected' and close to their people will help a dog to calm down a bit. other dogs will shake no matter what you try to do to help them. as long as she stops when she returns home - then its pretty normal. since they can't actually tell you they are scared - thats the way they show you.

my mom has a dog like that chances are she hates leaving the comfort of home.My mom has another dog that totally loves it but the other dog shakes and moves anxiously when they must take her. So,leaving her home tends to work, but you may want to think of something that'll work for you if your dog's not housetrained. Some dogs like to be in cars and etc. others don't

She is afraid. Talk to her before you leave. Remind her of other rides she survived. When you take her next time, prepare her with comforting talk. Take her favorite toy with you and let her stick her nose out of the window. She must be able to see her surroundings to feel safe.
