My two pet ducks were shot in my yard by youngsters, I know they are protected by law and it is a feloney for anyone to kill or mane an animal in Louisiana. Cops can't do nothing, because the kids were 9 yrs old.

Everyone keeps saying to use bleach but I was wondering if alcohol would work too since it evaporates.

I just bought our jack russell terrier yesterday, and the breeder said he has just turned 6 weeks. I wasn't sure of what questions to ask before buying the pup, but he said that he should be ready for worming anytime. I know he also needs a checkup and his shots. When is the best time to begin all of his shots? Also, since he hasn't been vaccinated for parvo, we've been letting him use puppy pads in conjunction with crate training. Am I going about house breaking him correctly?

Thanks!

My tank was fully cycled quite a while ago. Now though my levels never rise, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate, stay at basically zero at all times. About my tank: In my 20 gallon tank I have 20 things, and the filter is a bio-wheel actually meant for a 55 gallon tank. The water always stays crystal clear. (I know what a horrible problem to have?)

So do I still have to do the water changes? Or are water changes unnecessary unless the levels start to rise? Is it safe not to do any water changes until the levels rise?

I have a green anole, I have heard people say I can put a gecko in with it, and to do that I need to expand from a 10 gallon to a 20 gallon, which Gecko can I put in with him, or what other reptile can I put in with him without them killing or fighting?

Any other advice will be great, too!

Thanks in advance for all the help!

not trying to scare the fish from going in but it is pretty deep and I thought it would look kind of cool if there was some sort of "glow" inside.

Should I put my bunnies back together? They are in separate cages right now [this is because I wanted them to have baby bunnies] ....and I would have to get Timothy [male] neutered if I would put them back together. ...Baby the other bunny [female] is sorta kinda lonely and so is Timothy with out each other. My family is going to go on a long trip and take Baby because she is easier.....but both of them would be lonely without eachother to cuddle on the long drive. PLZ help me decide if I should put my bunnies back together!!!! thanks... :)

I'm training my dog to do some agility stuff. Not for competition or anything, just for fun.

I have her going over single and double hurdles pretty good. Then next thing I want to teach her is the weave poles. I stuck some poles in the ground, stuck a treat on a stick and made her follow the stick that I weaved through the poles.

It didn't go how I wanted it to. She was scared of the poles, so I didn't try anything else because I didn't really know what I was doing anyway.

Any body have tips they could give me on how I should approach this?

Thanks!!

My sister believes she has to feed live fish to her turtles because she think they need exercise I say she delusion and their should be and alternative also I read some where that you should feed them , such as turtle and trout food, can be given to Red Eared Sliders; however, this should supply no more than 25% of what they eat. Another 25% should be composed of cooked chicken, chopped lean raw beef, earthworms, crickets, feeder fish, and occasionally low-fat dog and cat chow (a premium brand). These items will supply your Turtle with the proper amount of protein. The other 50% of a Red Eared Slider's diet should consist of vegetation such as dandelion, mustard, and collard greens, green beans, squash, and carrots. Some also enjoy an occasional banana. Feed adults every two to three days
This good diet for a red ear slider turtle

Well, my goldfish is fairly new, I got him around a week ago. When I got him, he was a normal golden goldfish, nothing special. But now he is developing these black spots on his head, scales and his upper fin (the one on top of him), I dunno if he is developing a disease/skin condition or if he is just growing late spots. All the other fish in the tank with him were either spotted or gray. Any ideas?

*Also, he's developed this weird pattern. He'll go to the middle of the tank, then jolt up to one of the corners, and he'll keep repeating this. Is he just bored and needs a friend?

my 2 goldfish in an outdoor pond are frisky. Does that mean there might be baby ones? Will they eat all of them? How long until I might see some?

What are signs that show a pregnant Russian Tortoise. I bought a female russian tortoise at a pet store in the same cage as another male. Since I got her she was dug about 2 holes, that look different then my males holes. They are kept inside so there is only about 1inch of bedding. But when she digs there is like a wall of bedding around the hole. Never saw it with my male tortoise. And today for the first time she didn't eat her food. Usually she runs (really fast for a tortoise) whenever I even get near her food dish, she acts like she is always hungary and runs over evertime I put food in and eats it all.

I'm planning to get 4 kuhli loaches to place into an empty aquarium. The tank is set up according to the fish's preference-fine gravel, heavily planted and lots of caves.I read that these loaches are masters of hide and seek and are nocturnal. My question:

1.Since the fish only comes out in the dark, what is the best way to view them?

2.Is it ok to introduce other bottom dwellers?I'm planning for something more active like rainbow sharks.

3.Will using dither fish coax kuhli loach out of hiding?

I have two goldfish (1 comet, 1 common) in a tank (10 gallon). They recently started fighting and now the comet who is 1 year male, about 2inches has a rip in his tail fin. I don't know if it's the common, 6 years 3.5inches, who ripped it or if it was the plants. I want to seperate them but I don't have a spare tank.
I have a male betta in a 6 gallon right now. My question is, will it be okay to put the male goldfish into the betta fish tank for like acouple of hours, and move the betta to a smaller tank??? So can I put a goldfish in betta water??? Will that be safe???

thanks.
