The staining is from saliva. As someone mentioned, the fact that the saliva stains can be a result of minerals in the water. Some dogs respond well to drinking bottled water in these cases. Stained paws are usually a result of the dog licking the feet - again, from saliva, but in this case the licking is most likely from allergies or some other irritant. Check with your vet about ways to relieve the allergy problems and most likely the staining on the paws will disappear with time.
Show dogs are routinely whitened for competition, but the type of staining you describe isn't allowed to happen to show dogs in the first place. Indications of staining would be treated quickly to prevent further discoloration.

The stains are from saliva. If your dog has brown stains around its eyes, it's from tears. My dog is a bichon, and his face and paws are stained, but I don't worry about it. He's a happy, healthy boy, and that's what matters. Show dogs stay white all the time because they are pampered, kept indoors, go to the bathroom in their kennel, which has a mesh bottom that the poop and pee collects in, and because it is their owner's job to keep them white all the time. Family pets can't be expected to live up to that standard. Just enjoy your pet!

Dogs like bichons or poodles or dog that are white have this chemical in their Silva, that causes their fur to turn a rusty brown color. You may want to bath your dog with white dog shampoo and get stuff called bitter apple spray and spary it on the brown spots and your dog will not lick it then it will become white again. Hope this helps.

If your water is high in iron that will stain your dogs fur also if your feeding him a grocery store food that will also cause staining of a white dog. Poor nutrition will cause a white dogs fur to discolor.

i am a pet groomer and a registered vet technician and i can tell you that the stains are caused by saliva and tears. there is no sure way to get rid of them, although there are alot of products sold for this- in my opinion they are mostly a waste of money... sorry,i don't have a remedy for you that will work.
