Should I put my bunnies back together? They are in separate cages right now [this is because I wanted them to have baby bunnies] ....and I would have to get Timothy [male] neutered if I would put them back together. ...Baby the other bunny [female] is sorta kinda lonely and so is Timothy with out each other. My family is going to go on a long trip and take Baby because she is easier.....but both of them would be lonely without eachother to cuddle on the long drive. PLZ help me decide if I should put my bunnies back together!!!! thanks... :)

No, don't. Rabbits put together normally tend to fight, bite, chew fur, chew tails off, etc. I could go on and on.... Even if they have been neutered or spayed they should not be put together.

I've read countless tales on here where that has happened and I've seen it happen first hand. Keep them separate.

People get all mush gushy and think they have to be together to avoid loneliness. It's better to ask a person who's raised them for a long time and knows the true reality.

If the female is pregnant then DO NOT put the male in with her unless you want dead babies. You shouldn't have bunnies of different sexes living in the same cage unless they are both neutered. They aren't going to be heart broken.

Rabbits do like to bond with another rabbit and if they are already a bonded pair, you should put them back together. However, you must FIRST get them spayed/neutered so that they will not have any babies. There are enough bunnies out there in need of a good home. Please don't add to this.

rabbits are fine living on their own they are not pack animals. Get the female spayed if you're really wanting them to stay together. I bred bunnies for over 20 years and the only time they were together was when they were being bred, out in the yard for play time or had a litter of babies.

Yes, you should get them both fixed and put them back together. Bunnies do get very depressed if they are alone and they don't have anybody to play with.

take them out of the cage and give them a large habitat in the backyard. provide them with lots of shady areas that are protected from predators. this way they'll have more space. make sure they have a litter box, fresh water bottles each day, and lots of fresh leafy greens. teach the pet nanny how to take care of them while you're away.
