What are signs that show a pregnant Russian Tortoise. I bought a female russian tortoise at a pet store in the same cage as another male. Since I got her she was dug about 2 holes, that look different then my males holes. They are kept inside so there is only about 1inch of bedding. But when she digs there is like a wall of bedding around the hole. Never saw it with my male tortoise. And today for the first time she didn't eat her food. Usually she runs (really fast for a tortoise) whenever I even get near her food dish, she acts like she is always hungary and runs over evertime I put food in and eats it all.

Hummm...you need to do your research...tortoises can't get pregnant! They are not mammals and lay eggs - they do not give live birth. Only animals who give birth to live animals can get pregnant.

Here is info I found on feeding -
High fiber, low protein and calcium rich food is necessary

Russian Tortoise loves leaves, grasses, weesds, vegetables and flowers
Since the tortoise hibernate during winter, and tends to eat a lots during summer, you'll find out that if you keep them indoor, it'll eat lots all year long
This will create improper growth for the tortoise
The recommedation is to feed them 30 minutes a day as how much they can eat, and stop feeding them
Please be reminded that the food much be variety, do not feed them the same food everyday
mix up hoya plants and green plants (Endive, Romaine lettuce... ) Different mixing preferably everyday
Try not to feed them with fruits, grains or animala protein food
Mxing the food with vitamin D3 power or calcium supplement is highly recommended

A dish of water should be provided all time

You will know when your tortoise is about ready to lay because you will be able to see and feel the eggs bulging in the soft skin around her hind legs.
