I've seen them out in a pasture near my place and I've walked up 2 them and I've pet them.. I barley ever see the owner & the horses r rarley fed & their shoes r horibble.. I'm still learning how 2 ride & take care of horses.. But I'm movin... Not 2 far though and I'm afraid I won't ever see the owner... What should I do?? I will still see them some times because my old neighbor has horses I ride... So I will see the horses sometimes.....

My friend can no longer afford to keep her two dwarf rabbits. She knows i am a "pet person" and offered to give them to me, along with their cage, because she said she knows i'll take care of them. I got some books about rabbits at the library and i'm also researching them online. I even have an extra room that we use for my cockatiel, and there's plenty of space for a bunny hutch. The problem is, I don't think my parents will say yes. I already have a german shepherd, a cockatiel, and a goldfish (the rabbits would not be interacting with my dog). My mom's not a big fan of small furry animals, because she's afraid they'll smell bad. I'm responsible, I do my chores, I get good grades, I'm in honors classes, I passed with high marks on the final exams, and my allowance is big enough to provide food and toys for the bunnies. Does anyone know any tips to soften up my parents??

he won't touch any apple, bread, or veggies i put in the cage, he hasn't played with any of the toys, and he rarely makes any noise (only tweets when birds fly past, or he has a little chat with the tap is running really loud, or we are cooking something that sizzles...). I don't know what to do with him. I try to put my hand in the cage to get him used to me and he just flies around like a crazy bird. I really wanted to tame him, and have him come out of the cage and play...but I feel like maybe this is not going to happen. He also seems to sleep alot.
Does anyone have any constructive advice? I really want what is best for Blinky...... he is a beautiful bird, but doesnt seem to have a personality.

I'm looking into buying a small animal, something like a guinea pig or a leopard gecko. I've heard horror stories about larger pet chains like PetSmart, so I'm nervous about purchasing from them. Is PetSmart a good place to buy small pets?

If not, does anyone know of a reputable pet dealer in South Carolina, preferably in Charleston or Myrtle Beach?

I'm looking for any info on snails available...food, care, needs, habitat, anything...
I'm under the understanding that they eat algae and left over food debris around the tank...
also that they need a heater and a good filtration system within the tank they live...
I've heard that they molt and that they need a special substration to bury themselves in when they molt but I have no idea if that's true or how to handle that...
any info on snails greatly appreciated...I haven't gotten one yet but I have always wanted to and now my friend says he'll get me one for my new tank if I do all the research needed by the time he visits this weekend (already have two fresh water tanks set up currently -this will be my third for now..I already have a kitten, a dwarf hammie, a Euro hammie, and one tank I have is a ten gallon with four zebra danio, an african dwarf froggie, and a male betta which has been set up as such for almost a year my other tank is a five gal with two feeder goldfish)

I have a 72 gallon freshwater tank that I am thinking of coverting over to saltwater. My question is mainly about filtration. I currently have 2 Emperor 400's on my tank. These are power filters and they filter 400 gallons of water per hour each. So together they can filter 800 gallons of water per hour. Is this enough to sustian a saltwater tank of this size? Thanks!

I bought a piece of wood. It looks like real wood but it's dark on the outside. When I get it wet and dry it, dark stuff shows up on the cloth. My dad thinks it's varnish. Would this hurt my dragon? I haven't put it in the cage yet.

I just recently bought some chocolate gourami, i was thinking of some tank mates for them, if possible harder to keep one for 25g tank, also is honey gouramis good for tank mates the chocolate ones? Thanks!

I am starting to get a set up for a leopard gecko, and I read online that undertank heaters work well. A friend has one that she used for a hermit crab (it says hermit crab right on it) and I was wondering if that would work for a leopard gecko or not. Please help as I would like to do this right. My hamster, Sunshine died a year ago... we think she died of to hot, we keep her in a cage by the window (no where else to put the cage) and we also had fans all around her cage when it was hot a humid outside. Well that day it was really hot and humid and we where about to leave to the mall, she just looked fine going on her wheel all healthy and we put the fans around her cage. When we got back from the mall we saw her in the middle of the cage tunnel slide thingy and trapped in with the cage bedding! We tried to get her to the vet but she wasn't moving,breathing,and she was already hard. So we just put her outside the cage and under a big fan to see if she could live. She didn't. Do you know why she died?

ive lost count of how many times one of my cats have gone missing- and ive worried myself stupid unly to see him walk back in days later-so im going to get him chipped-2 questions-how much does this cost in uk
and if he went missing and someone took him in then months later took him to a vet-would the vet just automatically think he belonged to them or scan him? thankyou
