1. I am building a large pond. 24 foot long by 15 feet wide by 4 feet deep. It is 3/4 full of water. I am placing water plants etc. How long do I need to wait before being able to add fish. Or do I need to go ahead and add chlorine remover?

2. What is the best method to hide the edges of the liner? Without getting alot of dirt in the pond.

My cat recently had surgery and I'm supposed to keep him from jumping up on things so he doesn't reopen his wound. Do you have any ideas?

My cat is three going on four years old. Over the winter he was a healthy plump cat. In the last three months he has dropped weight. Nothing in his diet has been changed. I can put both my hands around his lower body and touch fingers. He seems healthy. He's always running around being playful. He shows no signs of being sick. He also was the runt of his litter. He's smaller than a normal sized house cat. He's been declawed and nuetered over two years ago. Any suggestions or personal experiences would be appreciatied. I'm contimplating on going to vet.

Ok, so please don't tell me how irresponsible you think I am for letting my cat get pregnant. The fact is she is, and I wanted her to be, and I already have 6 potential homes for the kittens to come.

I've never seen a cat give birth before, and neither have my parents. My cat suki (one year old, first litter) seems to want to give birth behind my dad's bookshelf, but the space is very narrow (hardly enough space to lie down), and I doubt the kittens would be able to suckle. Its also impossible for me to reach her should there be any problems. Should I block up the entrance to keep her from giving birth there, or should I let her give birth there and take the risk of not being able to help should things go wrong?

Also, she suddenly started meowing loudly 10 minutes ago and looked terrified, and a few times she sat/lied down and looked like she was trying to push. She's calmed down since, and she's now moved to my bedroomed (in a cardboard box i made for her). Was she in labour?

Hey, I've just wanted to know whether or not my cockatiel is doing it. I haven't caught him at it, so I'm not sure, but I've heard about it, and it makes me a little concerned.
I've had my cockatiel for about a year now, and he's tamed. We left this memorial weekend to the Poconos, and had to leave him at home. We have another, older cockatiel, around 4 years old, not tame, so I thought they'd be okay, with company and all.
When I got back, I noticed some feathers on the bottom of the cage. My cockatiel has new quills growing out around his neck, and possibly more around his wings, etc. I've heard about cockatiels pulling out their feathers when their owners go away; is this true? He seems a little more gaunt and his feathers more oily/raggedy than usual, although only a little.
Also, if this is true, what can I do to help? I'm busy and I still have to go to school today, so how should I deal with this? What if I have to go away on longer trips?
Experts only, please.

I don't recall the tail as a part of the cat that we were studying and no discussion on the autonomic nervous system in regard to the tails body language. I guess my question refers to my trying to understand what stimulates her to think because when she is looking out the window she is concentrating and her tail is swishing like she is really thinking, and yet she is a total "fraidy" cat in regard to the out doors. She never purrs much. She is very well fed, treated and loved but doesn't really purr that much. She wakes me up licking me in the face every morning for as much as I will allow. I've studied a little bit but this fascinates me in trying to figure out how she thinks like a cat, but is totally afraid and doesn't want to go outside at all. If I hold her, and open the front door, she will freak out and jump out of my arms and run up the stairs.

I have two dogs. One pitbull/small hound mutt and a pure Beagle. They are both extremely athletic and a little mischeivous. I would like to be able to set up an agility course in my back yard so they have a positive activity that will challenge them and burn off some of their never ending energy. But first I need to learn how to train them to do this.

P.S. I also have to train the Beagle to behave off leash.

i have 8 angel fish because they had babies and they live in a 29 gallon tank and are doing fabulously. i have my young parrot fish in my 12 gallon and she isnt doing so great. she is healthy but she just seems unhappy. 3 of my angel fish are pretty old (4-6 years). What is an angelfishes lifespan? and 4 of them are about 2 years old. i was planning on moving my 4 angelfish(the young ones)into my 12 gallon when my older angels die. then i would move My parrot fish into the 29 gallon. i guess my question is how many angelfish will fit in a 12 gallon eclips.

I have two female rats that are... I'm guessing about 3 1/2 - 4 months old. I've had them for about 3 months. Anyway, the one loves to run on a wheel and has been ever since I've gotten them. So from running on the wheel all the time, her tail curls up over her back most of the time. I mean while she's walking around, not only when she's on the wheel. It's kinda cool. But I was just curious if anybody else's rats have tails that do that.

Hi, I Need to Know what I can do about my rabbit, Coca is a doe about 8 months, not fixed yet. I let her out for about 5 hours a day when I am home, she goes in her home when I tell her to, she is litter trained---

Ok My deal is when she comes out all she does is follows me around at my feet always if I sit and watch tv she plays with my feet or jumps up with me, she will do her run and jumps then come straight back to me, when I get up she goes every where I do, but she wont play with anything no toys, boxes, playhouses, rabit toys, baby toys, cat toys, ...I am worried that she is not getting enough exercise and mental stimulation, is something wrong with her? any ideas how to get her more active besides being at my feet all the time...Thanks for any help

I have always owned German Shepherds and I was wondering what other dog breeds have guard hairs that stand up on their back when they're guarding their homes, etc.

I have a six year old American Pitbull Terrier that I bought from a breeder with a good reputation, I even traveled 6 hours to Georgia to pick him up as a puppy.

I took him to obedience school, and researched every thing I could to train him well, I thought he was so sweet!

On Saturday I was walking him and he saw this kid and just freaked out, I have no clue why! The kid was just walking and never even looked at me or the dog. My pit totally flipped out and yanked the leash out of my hand, I never saw it coming, before I knew it he was all over the kid. It took me and another guy all we had to pull him off. The kid was in the hospital overnight and the cops called and said they are coming to get my dog. This morning they got a court order declaring my dog as vicious and he will be put down this afternoon. Should I go see him before they do that, they said I could say goodbye, but I am not even sure if I want to see that….

Ok, i have a female rabbit called Trevor, however i don't quite know her breed(very large!).

She has been pulling underdown and fur from under her sweat gland and thighs to make nests, she is about 15 months old and i am sure this is nothing to worry about.

Also, her nose is a bit pink-red and looks a bit sore...she has an outdoor cage and access to grass which has been dewey at times, also her eyes have small bits of "sleep" around them but her eyes are very bright. she also hs a powerful odour coming from her sweat gland at certain times...She doesn't drink much but eats very well and is still her friendly old self running around her cage and coming up to be greeted and stroked, she also doesn't mind being held.
