i feed my bettas specialist betta pellets, Attison Betta Pro, which i HIGHLY recommend, and can be bought online. it's a floating pellet which is great because bettas are slow eaters and prefer to eat straight off the surface, mine ignore it if it starts to sink!
thats what i feed as staple, and i give my boys between 2-4 pellets a day (1 or 2 in the morning, 1 or 2 in the evening). i skip a day each week and give them cooked deshelled pea the night before their skipped day, good to keep them regular! bettas are prone to constipation and getting "bunged up", especially if they eat lots of processed food, just like humans ;)
and for treats they get frozen/jellied bloodworm, daphnia and brineshrimp. live is of course better, but i don't have the room, patience or space to grow my own.
for cleaning him out, do about 60-70% water change every 2-3 days if he's in an unfiltered bowl. with dechlorinated water of course.

You feed Betta's a type of food called Betta Bites. It is a food that is pellets. You only need to feed them twice a day and about 3 pellets each time.

ill share the motto i use when it comes to feeding any kind of fish, a fish's stomach is close to size of the fish's eyes (give or take depending on the species) just becuase a fish can eat alot doesnt mean you should feed the fish alot everytime, in your case for a betta i would always feed 3-4 pellets at a time when i would feed them, and it was only once per day

I like to feed my fish twice a day, once morning and once evening. I feed a pellet or flake food in the mornings and give them about as much as they can eat in 2-3 minutes. In the evenings I give them a frozen or live food. For bettas I feed bloodworms and brine shrimp mostly but some mosquito larvae, ants and daphnia as well. They like most any small worms or insect larvae really.
If he is in a bowl under a gallon and no filter you need to replace all of the water every 2-3 days to keep him healthy and happy.

You should be more afraid of overfeeding than underfeeding. Bettas can go up to a week without food; however, overfeeding quickly leads to a buildup of ammonia which is very, very bad for your fish and can lead to a whole host of diseases.
I feed my bettas two pellets, twice a day. I feed them Betta Bites and they love it. It brings out their colour too. Twice a week I feed them freeze-dried blood worms; it's best to have a variety in your bettas' diet. I'm thinking of adding brine shrimp to the mix.
Some people fast their bettas once a week or feed them a shelled pea once a week to prevent constipation problems. However, I've never done this and my betta is fine. It's really up to you.

3 or 4 floating pellets once a day OR 5 or 6 every other day. Don't sweat it if you miss feeding a few days. Opt always for under feeding, your betta is not growing so he only needs a little bit. Over feeding will just foul his small environment.

If you don't have a filter, I would change his water every other day.
Feed it 4-5 Betta pellets once a day.

You can either use flake food or Pellets (which is prefered) When feeding fish flack you just give them a pinch meaning only like two flakes and then when feeding pellets give them 2-3 pellets daily. Also to keep the water fresher looking you can feed them every other day..

Twice a day, and as much as it eats in 4-5 minutes, not more. You will slowly come to understand the exact amount.
