It seems as though my female cat is having trouble peeing. i dont know for sure but Im getting worried. Twice now she has gone to the litter box and sat there with her tail up, for like 10 minutes and when she leaves theres only 1 or 2 drops. She doesnt seem to be in any pain, and shes acting her normal self, but Im worried. Advice please? Could it be anything besides UT?

I woke up this morning to feed them and I saw this big bald spot on her head. I looked for signs of flaky or scaly skin or whatever and her skin looks fine (pinkish color). I did notice some very small white pimple like spots near her eyes (both eyes). She acts normal and doesn't seem to know that she has a bald spot on her head. Eats, drinks, plays, etc. No runny nose too. Is she just molting or are there any skin problems causing this? thanks

She is now completely naked on her belly, the insides of her hind legs and one of her toes.
There have been no changes in her diet or living arrangements and she appears to be very content and relaxed. I also own another cat who does not have this problem so it doesn't appear to be anything environmental like fleas or anything.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions.

On a side note, when I was a teen I had a different cat who, after we had her fixed also began chewing her fur off and gaining a significant amount of weight. She eventually broke herself of the chewing habit and her fur eventually grew back.

Well i have a 40gal tank and it came with the regular 20w lighting. If i were to add a dual 40w fluorescent (2 x 20w) and put it right next to it, would it add to the amount of lighting in my tank? Like 20w+40w=60w/40gal=1.5watts/gal. or will it just depend on the brightest lighting? Example, since each fluorescent would all be 20w, then the total output of brightness would just be 20w (thus 20w/40gal=.5watts/gal.

adults. He sees my dad every day and still goes after him, sometimes hides from him. He also bit a cop and is aggressive to strangers that acknowledge him for being cute.

I rescued a turtle/terrapin from being eaten alive and want to know what breed it is. It is only a baby, shell about 4cm's long, and is entirely black, with orange markings on the underside of it's shell around the edge, and has a long neck. Can any body help? I live in Australia.

not to allow prospective customers to meet their babies? I am considering purchasing an eclectus from a breeder that is 1500 miles away from me. So, I wouldn't be able to visit anyway. But, should I be concerned that they absolutely refuse anyone to visit their aviary and meet their babies? They say that it is for sanitary reasons that they do not allow anyone to visit or view their babies. Is this a normal practice or something i should be concerned with?

They haven't eaten since I got them 2 months ago! Is it because it's winter or the stress? I have a suitable tank for them, and have pellet food.

I have an undergravel filter. This filter is connected to a power head. I bought it today and I am now starting to wonder why... I am wondering if there is an attachment that i can put on this that actually has a filter such as bio, or mechanical. I understand that the water is being sucked up from under that gravel but after it is being sucked up to the top it just comes out the power head and most likely falls back down without reaching my water filter... Can anyone help? PLEASE!!!

i saw my boy trying to mate with his sister. i don't think she is in heat yet, since she doesn't have the normal characteristics( she is not howling or rubbing herself up against anything). i haven't spayed them yet because my vet told me to wait until the end of February to do it, but i think that i'll have to do it sooner now, i'm very worried about my baby girl getting pregnant. I appreciate all your answers, no rude comments please. Thank you.
