these fluid filled lumps are known as sists and will continuously come and go (maybe not fully go) it would be best to take your dog to the vet when the lump is large and have the fluid removed and tested to make sure that it isn't cancerus.

my uncle had a springer spanial with the same problem and she had to have one of the lumps removed as the sist became hard and they didn't want it to turn into cancer or risk that it could be cancer so the vet removed it for testing. it came back fine but still better to check... (the dog eventually died of old age last year at 16yrs)

Good luck!

Quite often they are harmless cysts. Sometimes they can just disappear of their own will, but occasionally they will burst and the dog could be prone to infection.
However, any lump on an animal should be checked out by a vet. Better to be safe than sorry.

Why do u not take ur dog to a vet to be checked, these lumps could be anything from fatty tumors, cysts, to cancerous growths. Only a vet can make that diagnosis. Better safe than sorry.

This is odd because the same thing is happening with my cat. He has this lump behind his left ear that I just noticed a couple months ago...sometimes it gets bigger and other times, it gets smaller but it never goes away!! I have a feeling it is a benign cyst...but what to do about it...I am in the same boat as you!!

It sounds like they could be cysts or tumors. You should take the dog to a Vet. It might be serious if not treated.
