1. You can leave a cat for a few days with extra food and extra clean box.
2. Cats don't need to be walked.

EASY: cats will come sit on your shoulder and purr in your ear and make you feel warm inside. dogs dont purr. a cat meows to communicate with its mother and nothing makes you feel better inside than knowing that your animal loves you that much.

I do not think any pet is better than the other I do think some pets are suited better for others. It all depends on the person and there life style.
