i saw my boy trying to mate with his sister. i don't think she is in heat yet, since she doesn't have the normal characteristics( she is not howling or rubbing herself up against anything). i haven't spayed them yet because my vet told me to wait until the end of February to do it, but i think that i'll have to do it sooner now, i'm very worried about my baby girl getting pregnant. I appreciate all your answers, no rude comments please. Thank you.

The boy is too young to impregnate his sister. However, certain cat breeds like the Siamese have been known to reach sexual maturity very early, as early as 6 months depending on the the breeding line. So do not worry, he's too young. But it's a sign that you should not delay sending them both to the vet asap. If she comes in heat, another male cat could get her and mate with her..

In a word, YES. Female cats can get pregnant from as early as 5 months. Male cats can get a female cat impregnated as early as 5 months. I think you need to get them sterilized. It'll stop the male one wandering at night and getting into fights and it will stop the female attracting all the males from down the street.

Yes, he can. There is not reason you cant get them spayed and neutered now. Some vets do this when they are real young, like 10 weeks old.

Heat, oestrus, and estrus all refer to heat cycles in cats
The breeding season in cats lasts almost year-round
Heat cycles can start as early as four or five months in a female kitten
Heat cycles in cats last from several days to two weeks or more
Heat cycles in cats repeat every two to three weeks
Heat cycles may cause pain or discomfort in cats

A brother and sister from the same litter can create their own litters by the age of five months. It's not a good idea to allow this to happen.
"Adolescent" cats and dogs as young as five months CAN get pregnant.

He can get her pregnant. Kittens matture at differant ages, so maybe she is in heat. Not all cats show signs of heat. She might be pregnant. She could be in heat and he might just be practasing....Young males will do that. I hope, for your sake and your kittens, that she isn't! Hope you can get them spayed and nutured soon!
