I read somewhere that when your female has puppies that the father is not suppose to be around her because she could get pregnant again. Is this true? Also, if this is true, how long does the father need to be away from the female so she does not get pregnant again? When can he be around her again? When can he be around the puppies? Is there anywhere on the internet where you can get information on having puppies for the first time and needing to know exactly what you should do? The female and her 4 puppies are doing great. She is feeding them all and is doing a great job caring for them. I just need to know where I go from here. Thanks for your time and your responses.

I have a pet ball python for 3 and a half years... I've been calling it Potter for so long, but every time I thought about it, I feel guilty, because i have no idea what's its gender, is there any way to tell without consulting a vet?

I gave her one chicken wing bone and then took it away. she did manage to eat some of the marrow. I hope my vet doesn't get angry with me but I guess I can't wait until the morning to find out. Thanks for your time and help!

This is going to get reported and deleted, I'm sure, but I don't really care. The fact is that someone has given themselves the name of st. lady and is impersonating them. They are going around giving terrible, nasty answers to people. This person is insulting everyone and asking moronic questions. I just feel that I need to point out....those of you who know the real st.lady, please don't confuse the two! When you see the name st.lady, check to see how long they've been a member. The original st.lady has been a member for quite some time now (at least a few months). The fake one has only been a member since today.

Sorry it's not a question, but someone had to say something before everyone reports the real st.lady for something they didn't say.

Thanks.

Hi there,

I just adopted a little 6 month old baby kitten. She was okay as of yesterday, but today I noticed she started sneezing a lot. She has runny nose and sniffles and sneezes quite often. Her energy level is okay. She eats fine and used the litter box first time this morning. Does anyone know what is the reason for the sneezing? Could it be something from the kennel I adopted her from? Is it the same thing like when a dog comes from a kennel with kennel cough and then it goes away on its own? Do I need to worry about this or just wait to see if it clears up on its own? I read somewhere that it's okay for a cat to sneeze if it came from a animal shelter to a new home. What do you think? Please, advise! Thanks.

I have a long finned minor tetra. About a week and a half ago I noticed her going belly up so I seperated her from the other fish and put her in a glass container beside the tank to see what happened. She lived through the night so I researched and found out she may have swimmers bladder. I have been treating her for that.
I also noticed when I seperated her that her tail which was perfectly straight before is not curved upward (allot). What would cause that to happen?
Four days ago my dog also pulled the container from the table spilling her onto the floorbin an effort to bring me the towel under her bowl to wipe his mouth. So I know she is definetly a survivor.
Any thought on the curled up tail would be appreciated. Also any humane ways to put her out of her misery if its something bad. I am glad I did'nt flush her a week and a half ago when this started.

My maine coon cat's fur is wonderfully thick and soft, but she's a bit of a handful and likes to get dirty, especially on her back and top part of her tail where she can't clean it herself really well. I've tried to take a wash cloth and clean her, but of course she runs and hides. Her tail especially will get mats in it. She hates brushing; in general, she's like a little ornery kid running around avoiding her bath. I love her but I'd love her more if she stayed clean!

Ok so last year in May, I bred a litter of 4 Chi-Chi (chihuahua/chinese crested) puppies. I sold them all successfully at 7 weeks of age for $700 each. I didn't offer a health guarantee for long, I gave all customers a 5 month health guarantee on the pups.
I sold a female pup to a lady named Janet and she was happy with her pup. Janet told me that her pup (Pixy) has a laxating patella, lots of skin problems, lots of eye problems and a major aggression problem.
Janet is blaming me for selling her a sick puppy and she wants me to pay the $3000+ in vet bills but I can't afford to do that because I don't have any moneu left from the sales of the last litter with my other dogs (Chi-Poo litter).
What should I do?

Also, my male Chihuahua (sire of Janets pup) has a luxating patella (which he hasn't had before), is it still OK to breed him? I last used him as a stud to my sisters litter of Chi-Poo pups. He is a great stud and has sired many cute puppies.

Is there a fish that doesn't need to be feed everyday? I have a small fish tank and was looking to keep it at work. I am not at this work place everyday, and was looking for a fish that could handle not eating everyday. I have one of those vase fish tanks that you can put a plant on top. So I was thinking about maybe a fish that would eat the roots of the plant while I wan't around. Does anyone know what fish would be best for this type of situation?

Thanks!!

I have two rat terriers the female is in heat. I am not sure how long she has been in heat but I just noticed the blood today. Benny has been trying to hunch her for about a week. Benny has never been used as a stud and he is a very gentle dog. Misty over powers him majorly. He is scared of her. I would like to breed them during this heat, but benny doesn't seem to understand it all. He mostly hunches her head, leg or any part that he can get close enough to. He has not figured out the whole mating thing yet. Benny is almost 2 and half and Misty is a little over a year old. Please give me some suggestions!!

I have 2 schnauzers who love to play together including licking each other, little love bites, rubbing together etc. I am concerned that they may get sick from the affects of advantage flea treatment. Does anyone know how long after application should I wait before I let them play together?
