My hamster has a wire cage. One time i found a ton of blood on the wires. I think she's been chewing too much. I don't know what to do and i'm kinda worried about her.

You need to buy her a new cage now! She is a wire chewer to the extreme. Her wire chewing is excessive to the point of personal harm. There is a condition called bar rub in which bar chewers that become obsessive will wear away the fur on their face due to friction with the bars. Many times it will become permanent. Sometimes it will be severe enough to cause lacerations which seems to be what's happening in your case. You need to get her a new cage immediately. The best thing would be to purchase an aquarium set-up for her though I'm sure it's not the answer you want to hear.

Here is the set-up I recommend: purchase a 10 gallon aquarium for $10, a metal tank topper for $10, chew-proof, climb-proof water bottle (made by Lixit) for $6, a plastic solid 8.5" exercise wheel by Super Pet (small ones and metal ones are harmful) for $6 and a hut for $5. This will give you the basic set-up for under $40. If you have a Pet Supplies Plus near you, shop there, they're cheaper and carry all the products I've listed.

There is a cheaper aquarium/lid alternative. Many breeders, including myself, have begun using converted plastic tubs. Here is an article about making them by the California Hamster Association:

The only thing is that I've had three of the hundreds that I've kept in these bins chew a hole into the corner. It takes awhile to chew the hole big enough to escape but if you have a chewer (which you may given her wire chewing vigor) you won't be able to house her in a bin.

positioned stress on it in case you could. A paper towel or a washcloth it is dampened. even as the bleeding stops, do an oral exam and spot what you'll discover. He did this in his cage so study each and every toy to work out if there's a pointy aspect or some thing that pinched him and remove it. Geez, Louise. What more desirable ought to you've achieved? A plastic cage! i wish he will be ok. they're quite problematical.

You could buy her some wood blocks at the pet store. All hamsters grind their teeth down. If they don't have something to chew on they will find anything. Until you can get to the pet store, you could but some of the little card board tubes that are left after toilet paper is used in her cage.

I had this problem once with a wire cage and I had to switch to a plastic cage, like a habitrail. Keep an eye on your pet, if the wound is large and or deep you may need to take him or her in to the vet.
