My dog had 2 puppies five days ago, and she favors the larger male dog over the small female. She will assist with elimination for the female and nurse her if we hold her down (not in a mean way), but she persistently carries the male dog to a different locale like under our bed. Also, she growls at the female pup alot. She stays with the male, leaving the female alone in the whelping box. My dog also doesn't seem to have much of an appetite. She is actively caring for the pups, but she doesn't eat unless we bring her handfuls of food. I've tried wet food even, but she isn't interested. I thought she was supposed to eat more now that the puppies are here. What could be the problem? My dog is our baby, and we are worried for her and her new family. Thank you in advance for your response.

I took my uncles' female dog in because he wasn't taking care of it very well. My uncle lives by himself and is a serious alcoholic. The dog hasn't been to the vet ever since she was a pup. So no vaccinations. Also not fixed. He had paperwork on her, but has no clue where it is. Has a serious obedient problem. I'm not sure what I should do. I am going to keep her, shes' a beautiful dog. I need to take her to the vet and get cleaned. But I've never owned a dog before and so I'm not sure what to expect at the vet. Do I need proof of ownership? Do I need paperwork for her? I don't have anything on her. But she really needs to get to a vet and get her shots. I'm almost embarrassed to take her...she wasn't neglected completely.He did feed her and give her water. And she was put outside when she needed, but I also think he may have kept her in a kennel anytime she was inside. Someone also told me that there was a time limit on getting females fixed? Is this true? She is a little over a year

Ok, I have a 55 gallon tank with i think about 8 small koi's .. i have a question.. there is some python water change thing that you can do water changes with...it says to atttach to your sink and put the other end in the tank to suck up the dirty water..can i put the declorinator after the water change with the fish in the aquarium or no..

My Betta developed a small whitish sore on his head. It almost looks like a tiny canker sore. It's more of a crater than a bump. He has one near his tail, and his gills are sort of whitish.
He is not sluggish, has not lost his appetite, seems totally normal. What could this be? I don't think it's Ich because the spots aren't all over and don't look like salt granules. I'm trying to determine the best way to treat him and don't know how to even begin! Thanks for any help. :)

today i got a rubbernose plecostomous and I put it in the tank with my oscar and its been a few hours and i still havent seen it and I am worried my oscar ate it. The pleco was about an inch and a half. Please for the wise acers out there only awnser if you really know the awnser. I have a pair of discus in my 6 foot tank. They have layed several lots of eggs, they then gaurd them closely for about two days before eating them. They are the only fish in the tank.
Has anyone else experienced this with Discus or better still Does anyone know why they do it or how to stop it?
