Usually only service dogs and the dogs for sale/adoption in the pet store in the mall are allowed in malls.

Most public places only allow service animals, but it just depends on the mall. Try asking the customer service

Where I live, Michigan, the only dogs that are allowed in any of our malls are service dogs.

there are seveal diffent factors in this.
all service animals:guide dog for blind, hearing dogs for deaf, aid dogs for phsically handicapped are usually allowed in all malls.they are not deemed pets, but utility dogs. they usually carry special tags or their owners have a document for them stating what their function is to deny them access could be discrimination against the handicapped.
as for regular pets, it depends on the mall. some malls have photographers that specialize in animal pictures usally if no pets are allowed it is posted on the door

I don't think so. Actually I know they aren't allowed in my mall. I think only guide dogs are allowed.

Only registered service dogs, like a seeing eye dog, are. There are now other types of service dogs now, but they all should have a service dog certificate. Your pet is not allowed, and it is discourteous to try and bring them..

a service dog with papers to prove it is a service dog can go into any place. we have a chihuahua that is a service dog because she can detect seizures in my family member. so it can go any wheres she goes. even on a plane at her side, not in a crate in the cargo area
