I have 2 schnauzers who love to play together including licking each other, little love bites, rubbing together etc. I am concerned that they may get sick from the affects of advantage flea treatment. Does anyone know how long after application should I wait before I let them play together?

they should be fine. if they get some of the med in their mouth they may salivate for a little bit, but there won't be any side effects from it. the meds will stay on the dog's skin for 30 days, but the packaging says the residue can last up to 24 hours. i would just let them be and let them play.

I don't think Advantage will be a danger to your dogs.
Just put it on them when you're going to be around for the next few hours and keep an eye on them, if they seem to be getting into the others advantage, distract them with a treat or a game.
You could also put it on right at bedtime - if they have a real bedtime - like my dogs, they go to bed when I turn off the lights.

Advantage shouldn't hurt your dogs...even if they lick it. Problem is, if they lick it, it won't work on the flea problem. In a case like yours, I usually advise to put it on at bedtime when playing will be minimized. That will at least allow time to let the product start spreading on the dog's body. It is usually completely spred in 48 hours. Congrats on using what I consider the most effective flea remedy on the market.

I would just separate them for a few hours so the medication gets into the blood stream and is mostly off the fur.

I'm pretty sure the Advantage is really safe. Maybe just let it dry good before letting them play. After it's dry it should be ok.

The biggest thing you will actually have to watch for is allergic reactions. Otherwise, if the treatment is used right, there is no need to keep your puppies apart. It sounds like they do have fun!
