Your dog may need to have it's teeth cleaned. You can try giving it some treats such as a Greenie. they are very effective in helping with bad breath. Just look around in your pet store for some of the things they carry to help with doggie breath.

first take your dog to the vet. it could be a tooth abcess you can't see. 80% of dogs over 3 years of age have some form or periodontal disease. dog's teeth require regular dental cleanings just as our teeth do. take the dog to the vet first to see if there's a medical reason for the odor, and if your vet says that your dog isn't quite ready for a dental cleaning, then they can recommend the best course of action for you to take. good luck.

be careful with greenies. they do fine for most dogs, but several dogs have died from this product. they do not digest fully in the dog's stomach and can cause a blockage or constipation.

My dog had horrible breathe for awhile so I went to Walmart one day and they have these doggie breath mints and I bought him dental bones as well. He loves the mints and eats the bones up like crazy and his breathe is amazing! I couldn't believe the difference and they weren't expensive at all.
