i have already reported this question to Yahoo Answers as "abusive," but nothing was done about it. i'd like to know why questions like this are allowed to remain? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ajm4uwSOZqzJ14zPtMj3TC7sy6IX?qid=20070124112853AAC19kd

to "Danny"... thanks for your life wisdom, but uh.. i'm pretty relaxed already, and i do laugh. at things that are funny.
i think the more we propagate/shrug off screwed up ideas like that, about animal abuse, the less seriously people take them. basically, we become de-sensitized. the statistics of animal abuse are already pretty horrendous. partly because of people like this guy. a lot of people think it's "funny" to talk about ideas like that. and then there are others who think it's "funny" to actually do it. like i said above, one propagates the other.

Hi there
I am with you 100% on this!! I have also reported him, along with two others in quick succession - one that another of your answerers mentions as coming back under loads of different i.d.s with horrible questions about cats and another that I found through the questioner that you have reported.
Don't ever give up reporting these sickos, please! I report them whenever I find them. I agree totally that by ignoring them we run the risk of encouraging them. I just report them, though, I no longer tell them what I have done and I no longer give them the satisfaction of flagging their answers down.
I agree that it can seem a bit hit and miss what happens when you report abuse - e.g. sometimes I get an e-mail, sometimes I don't; sometimes the person is taken off Yahoo Answers, sometimes they aren't. I wonder sometimes if it is just sheer weight of numbers reporting someone that gets them deleted.
Shortly before Christmas I reported a user who stated that he was trapping and gassing cats that strayed onto his property. Not only did I report him to Yahoo, I also reported him to the RSPCA (he is in the UK) as I know that it can be possible to trace someone throught their Internet Service Provider. The RSPCA got back to me recently and said that they were progressing the enquiry. That particular user is still on Yahoo Answers but that's possibly because I asked Yahoo not to delete his account until the RSPCA had investigated, to make it easier to trace him.
Thank goodness we animal lovers are here to "fight the good fight".

Hi Melon, He may of been kidding, but the way the world is now,how do you know. I hate animal abuse. Some of the terrible things people actually do to these poor helpless animal,is a terrible crime, and they need to pay for what they have done.A few years back, here in California, the animal shelter in yuba city, reported that someone broke into the shelter, and hung a german shepherd by rope tied to his back legs. Then this thing call a human started skinny this poor dog alive. When they found the shepherd,he was still alive. This kind of thing has to be STOP!!! What ever these sick people do to these loving animal ,needs the samething done to them.Just maybe that would put a STOP to all this animal abuse. A Friend On Your Side.

Wish upon him that he have a life where HE is the cat being skinned. I think then he will learn.
Seriously, reporting it over and over and contacting sitemaster should get something done. Reporting any other question or answer that the person made also is good.
You cannot say what is the best way to skin a person and animal should be the same.
You have done your part. Well done.

There is one or more new question being posted every second. As such, Yahoo can't review all of them instantly. Yanswers relies on us to police ourselves as there are more of us than there are of Yahoo employees who can peruse the questions. Think about it, we're free and we are monitoring the questions/sections we like best so it is like having specialized spotters. I am sure they take care of the abuse reports asap, but bet their paid staff is limited.
I agree with the other answers, don't go for the free 2 pts and post an answer, just hit the report abuse button. Yahoo will take it from there.

Something has been done, he was deleted several times. But he just keeps coming back. Right now he is having alot of fun because in several places people are talking about him and have questions like this one.
This is one lonely guy...he has no friends so he does this for attention. And he is getting it. So we are adding fuel to the fire. Because of all this attention he will never stop.
So, PLEASE, do not answer his stupid questions...it only encourages more of this bad behavior. And, PLEASE, stop asking questions about him for if he doesn't get a rise out of you he will stop.
He is nothing but a loser and a coward. If you IGNORE him and just report him....HE WILL GO AWAY!
Yahoo moderators are doing the best they can and hopefully they can permanently get him banned. In the meantime he will be checked out by other authorities and hopefully he will be put behind bars with the rest of the losers.

Sometimes it takes ages for yahoo to remove such questions, as vile as this person is, just keep reporting them and the questions will be removed. The problem is that people can register and have multiple Id's on here and that makes it virtually impossible to stop people like this posting such horrible questions.

I'm sorry but that post does hit a sore spot for me as there is some sicko out there at the moment who IS skinning cats and leaving them on our local golf course to be found and has been doing this since a few weeks before Christmas.

I agree with you totally, and we must keep reporting these "retards" and remember, don't answer their questions as that's what they want - to get a reaction from us. When they see we don't react, they'll get bored.
