i have a 55 gal saltwater tank goin that has been running for almost a year and we moved 3 months ago. all my fish and inverts were doing fine for about a month then all my fish suddenly died. the fish developed white sores on their sides and heads. i know it sounds like ich but ive had that before and even treated my tank with a general disease cure that effects most common ailments(including ich). my water quality is in perfect condition, and my temp is about 81 degrees(F). inverts are supposed to be touchier but all of mine are flourishing. ive put several damsels in since this happened and they all died of the same symptomes.. please help me

i really want her to get some exercise. she is about five months old and really hyper active. but how do i walk her about without getting any pests on her like fleas? i live in a tropical climate, so bugs are really common here. and her paws will get dirty! so what should i do?

He was adopted from a shelter and is in perfect health. But everynight he tries to suckle my neck. It is frustrating and has me a little worried. Is there anything wrong or is this normal? Can I stop it? Thanks for help!

I have a 13 year old yorkshire terrier who has allergies, it seems that they are getting worse with age. He is on moist food because of bladder problems, the food has cranberries in it and seems to help that but the skin hasn't gotten any better. I keep him away from beef products, the food I give him is very expensive Eagle Pack, he also has a thyroid condition. I am up for suggestions as to what I can do to help him , he has pulled some hair out on his hind legs. Thanks for any suggestions.

We have had this gerbil for only two days and my sons have given it a bath or gotten it wet twice already. I worry that it will get sick, especially at this time of year. Does a gerbil need to be given a bath? If so, how often? Also, I read that the bedding needs to be changed everyday. Is that really necessary or is once a week sufficient? Thanks for all your help!

I live in a new neighborhood, and my neighbors seem to be nice people. However, they have a huge dog that they keep in the back yard that barks every time a car passes by or if I'm standing in my yard or if a car pulls up in my yard. That really does not bother me. The thing that kills me is the dog howls at all times during the night, and he is LOUD!! The dog sounds like he is dying out there. The only thing I can associate his howling with is police/ambulance sirens that I've heard in the distance when he begins to howl. I am a very quiet person who enjoys peace and quiet once I get home from work. This dog's howling kills me. I know it's instinctive, but is there any thing that can be done to stop (or lessen) his howling? I don't know, but I was thinking of some type of high-frequency whistle or signal that can be blown or activated everytime I hear him howl that would agitate him and condition him eventually not to howl. Any ideas are appreciated.

i have a 3 year old min pin who has vomited all the time ever sinse i got her at 8 weeks but recently has been vomiting a lot (like almost every day) and was wondering if it was maybe something in her food. she has been on the same food sinse about a year old. what are some of the symptoms of food allergies? could it be something else?

a couple nights ago i was in my backyard shooting beer cans off my fence with an old .44 that was handed down to me when something behind me spooked me, i swung around and saw a large animal coming towards me, and didnt get a good look at it until i accidentally blasted my girlfriends dog. it was a young golden retriever and it made me feel sorta sad. i took the dog and gave it a burial at sea (river behind my house) but i dont have the heart to tell my girlfriend. its been gone for a couple days now and i told her that i think it ran away, she misses it. should i just buy her a goldfish and hope she doesnt ask questions?

My pup has a broken paw and the vet put on a splint. It lasted about a week and she managed to chew it off. We keep a sock over it to try and prevent this but she figured out how to get it off. The new splint was put on monday and it's already off again. What can I do to keep her from removing it? It's taped on with that bandage tape stuff, which I guess is really fun to chew. We keep her confined, and we try to watch her but it only takes a few minutes for her to chew it off.... Any ideas???
