First off, get her a halter leash rather than one around the neck, because if she doesnt like it she will get out of it! Second, use a monthly topical that will not only kill the fleas on her (if any) but it will keep any from getting on her. I wouldnt worry too much about getting her paws dirty! I dont think it would be a big deal to dust them off when you get home. Make sure she is fully vaccinated before you walk her around where other strays have been!! Very important!!

Okay cool.. I know exactly how. Well if you visit your local pet shop and ask an assistant. there is special Cat and Kitten harnasses for walking your cat. Your cat will not mind getting dirty paws but the flea part isnt good so just get a simple flea repellent or wash your cat with flea and buug shampoo avaliale from the shops. Cats however dislike being controlled like that and it is better if you train the cat as a kitten to walk on a lead. It is easier to let it out during the day and put it back at night because it is safer however i used to do that before my cat got hit by a car and then i decided to purchase a cat run which my 3 cats currently use. So Yes you can walk a cat but its better to train it from a younger age. Hope that my answer helped

I trained my cat to walk on a leash and harness when she was a kitten.
But almost all kittens are nothing but energy until they are a little over a year or so old. If you do keep her inside, get her some toys or cat tree so she can run some of the excess energy off.
If you are in an area prone to fleas and parasites, make sure she has flea treatement. You can always wipe her paws off with a wet paper towel after the walk.

maybe you can change her diet, because you won't be able to prevent those things from happening, bugs getting on her, and her paws getting dirty. In fact i have never seen anyone take a cat on a walk, but if you find a way 2 take Ur cat on a walk then you could just get her clean and buy some stuff to kill fleas, any clean her paws after.

Depending on the cats personality you may be able to do this by getting her a kitty harness and leash. Many people take cats for walks. The trick is to get it used to the feel of a harness while it is still a baby. Only you will be able to tell if she will let you put one on her. A harness is much better than just a collar because if it goes wild, it can easily slip out of a collar but not a harness. If you decide to attempt this, try it on a number of times inside, for short periods before you attempt to take her outside. You must be aware that once outside the sounds and smells will be strange to her so just attempt baby steps before you plan on an afternoon walk. Good luck.

Leave her indoors where shes nice and safe just provide her with lots of toys and playful attention from you, because it's not only bugs that you have to worry about but nasty diseases that may be lurking in these public areas, also the big bad outdoors will probably really freak little kitty out!! But if you must find a good flea prevention and teat in advance and get her a good cat harness with a strap around her neck and also one around her chest and a short leash and slowly let her explore starting with the back yard. Good-Luck!!

I have had dog trainers tell me to use special collars while training. I would think that it might work for a cat. Use a leash while walking and put a flea collar on while the cat is out to prevent fleas. Take the flea collar off when you go home.
Don't fight the cat while on the leash because cats act allot differently than dogs. If your cat fights the leash simply pick the cat up, and carry him back home. Eventually he will learn and adjust to the leash.

If you would like your cat to be able to experience the outdoors without having it as an inside/outside cat, try a harness and leash. Many cats can squirm their way out of these, however. There is also the pet stroller. It may seem odd, but these special strollers have a screened in front area where the cat can lay and still get fesh air and see their surroundings.

Unlike dogs, cats can get exercise in a small area. To keep her pest free be sure to be using a long range flea preventative like Advantage. Then get her toys that she likes to chase. You can have a good workout right in your own living room. You can even buy fuzzy battery operated creatures that she will chase.

I have a cat myself & we bring him to park every end of the mth. We actually put him in the trolly(those aunties use for market) with harness & leash on. Recently, we decided to let him out for walk in the park, through recommendation from sales assistant, we bought neem oil. U can mix it in shampoo or conditioner, & in water when u mop the floor. Also, u can put some on behind your cat's back (near neck) so it cannot lick.
My cat refuses to blow his fur after bathing, so i did not mix the solution in the shampoo and I find it too strong to put on his body, so make sure u pour a little solution out & mix with some water to dilute before u dip on his body.
Those people without cats would laugh at us, but who cares!! The most important part is we enjoy walking our cats & out cats are happy, right??
