My cat is a couple years old and super fat i only give him dry food but he is as fat as can be!!! He weighs 20 pounds!! If i put him on diet cat food will he still eat it??

ok so earlier she accidentally ate cake. and a few hours later she ate her food and threw it up. she hasnt thrown up since and im now giving her pedialyte. she now seems hungry but i dont know if it would be ok to feed her. what should i do? can she get worse from eating cake or will she no longer throw up?

why is it that people always come down on pitbulls. Yes I've heard alot of bad things about them, but doesn't anyone realize that any dog can become vicious. It's not the dog half the time, its actually the owners that either mistreat them or train them this way.

its completely false. ... theyve atleast a 48 hour memory. probably much, much longer. i dont get it. where did this idea come from?

i think its a way to justify unhealthy, boring lives in bowls. it probalby makes people feel less guilty about it..

they are approx 4 1/2 months old. they are brothers. they are generally very mellow. the vet says that the cats should be kept seperate so that they dont lick eachother...but I dont know what to do. they come home tomorrow and i am sure i will get better instructions then, but i thought that other cat lovers could give me some good tips!

I gave a puppie to my sister-inlaw, who lives across the street. I wanted her to bring it over to visit its mom, but she is worried that it will confuse the puppie. The puppie is only 7 1/2 weeks old. I regret giving it to her so early because I know now that the puppie should be learning things from its mom still. Do things like this confuse the puppies?

I have a 4000 gal pond and i need help finding out where my leak is. I am loosing about one to two inches of water every 24 hours. It has one solid liner but the whole thing is filled with rocks. Does anyone know how I can go about finding this damn leak without draining/taking out all of the rock?

I have heard they are "average" shedders, but i'm not exactly sure what that means. Is there hair everywhere, is it seasonal, etc. Also, do the differerent color labs shed differently?

My family is used to larger dogs (siberian husky, lab, golden retriever, etc.). I just had a beautiful black lab die from cancer, and am thinking about another. I have a pretty dominant female lab/shepard mix, and need a dog that will be good with kids, and stay in the yard. Looking for experience from other dog owners.

I recently got a 15 week old yellow lab for christmas. She was shipped in from a breeder in Kansas. We had no probem teaching her tricks, housebreaking ect. We live on a second floor condo and had no probelm taking her out for walks. She loved them! recently after starting work again she has been so stubborn. She does not want to go outside enless its an urgent pottybreak. Once we get her to the field she is fine but recently she has been sitting and not allowing us to walk her at times. We have tried lifting her walking to her and everything.

I have a pup, 1-1/2 yr old. (check her out, pic to the left)
The past month, she has had HORRIBLE breath. She is a Cocker Spaniel. I had another Cocker, who just passed away last year, was 15yrs old. His breath wreaked too, but I thought it was because of his age. Is this normal?? Could it be a "Cocker" thing?

I just rescued a kitty from the streets. Took him to the vet to have shots and get neutered.

I've never had a cat before. How do I know if he's purring as opposed to having a cold?

my 9month old cat that i just adopted yester day peed alot on my bed i thinks its called squating . anyway we got this litter that smells like pine some people are telling me that is the reason she is not using the litter box is there a way that we can get her to start using it. we even put her in the box and did the scrape thing with her paw. locked her in the bathroom with the box and nothing. what can i do should i just give her back to my mom . or is it to late to train an indoor out door cat to use the litter box. she is so sweet. i would hate to give her up.
