My family and I just got a new kitten (6mths). She just recent got spay. We brought her home and now she stays under the bed unless someone is in the bedroom with her. And at night she gets in bed with My girlfriend and I. The kitten knows where her food and water is but just wont walk around the house.

Looking for one that would travel well to keep us company in a Motor Home.

Thanks for the response.

i'm so sick and tired of people wanting to defend this type of breed as I believe it was created out of sheer human evil - to fight. i have nothing against the animals but I sure do against people who claim it all depends on the way the dog has been raised. that may be true, but my question really is, then would someone please explain why a person probably can't get killed by a labrador retriever but there are reports from all over the world about someone being killed by a pit bull. i think you see my point...

thanx

Has anyone ever heard of cat scratch disease? How harmful is it to a person? And what about the cat, does it mean my cat is sick if someone got it from her?

In the last six months we have had five plecostamus' die - first I thought it was the gold fish, so removed him. Then all was fine for a month or so. That one was in with a shark, an angel fish, and a catfish. Then the catfish died, the shark stressed and died and then we had the angel fish bottom up. It was in about a two or three week time span. Finally, started all over again, clean this clean that. Let it sit, added tetras (5), a female beta and a plecostamus. That was Christmas Eve. Day after Christmas the plecostamus was dead but we think we cooked him because the heater was registering 84. Fixed that, the tetras were fine with the exception of one who hung around the heater all the time even tho it was off (temp was stable). He ended up in the rocks day before yesterday. This morning, uh oh, where is the plecostamus? Yup, there he is, belly up on the bottom. So far so good with the tetras and beta. What are we doing wrong?

my male cat, who has been neutured is hiding away on his own, and cannot walk properly with his back legs. this has happened 3 times now. The 1st time, we took him to the vet who gave him antibiotics, but didnt say much about it. Does anyone know what could be happening to him? This has also happened to my female cat before.

My 2 cats, kind of live in the front room. That's where they sleep.

Problem is, when i go into the room, they run and hide under the table where i can't get to them.

I haven't done anything to them, i'm not cruel to them, so why are they doing this?

My female just turned 1 yesterday as well as went into her first heat all in the same day. She is a dominant female and I had considered spaying her instead of breeding her in hopes that it would calm and settle her down. However, I am having second thoughts as since she has gone into heat, you can see a difference in her, she is calm as well as listening to commands. As far as the dominance, she is not nasty or anything like that, she just doesn't always want to listen to the stay command and sometimes that causes difficulty as there are 4 of them. Any suggestions?

I currently own a yorkie mix lap dog. I am looking for a larger dog that can handle a daily run and be a good family pet. I have heard from two labradoodle/goldendoodle owners that neither of their dogs are as smart as the purebred version (lab or poodle). Just wanted to hear some feedback from other owners. Also, how bad is the shedding?

About four days ago I bought a tank and filled it with 5 angel fish, 5 black phantoms, convicts, carnival neons and 1 algae eater. The day after that my algae eater died. Two days later one of my neons died. Now it looks like two of my angel fish are dying. What can the cause be? I have the tank currently on 28 degrees celcius could that be too hot? Please help.

My two year old goldfish is staying at the top of the water. He acts normal otherwise but whenever you look at him he looks like he's eating something from the top of the water but theirs nothing their. They have plenty of oxygen with two extra bubble sticks just to make sure. Why is he staying at the top of the water? He doesn't have any noticeable diseases.

i already had a female cat coco,1yr old
my dad brought a stray home one night itd been hangin round his gf's house 4 a while hes about the same age.We thought with coco having a litter and with getting on with other cats outside it would be an ideal mate for her anyway we brought casper in and coco immediately screamed out and chased im into the kitchen and has never liked him,few days after we gt casper we had them both done and still no change coco constantly hisses growls and and is always moping around and sits upstairs all day when we do put them in the same room coco clutches herself in one corner and doesnt take her eyes off casper whos usually sleeping but he happily gets up and wanders round while coco sits there growling casper sometimes tries to stare her out and chases her and she runs away screaming considerin shes the one doing all the hissing and being nasty its annoying she dnt listen when you tell her off for hissing she does it all the more any1 help plz!!

I would appreciate if you would give me a reveiw on APBT (american pitt bull terriers) and tell me what you think, if you are in england, of the behaviour of the dogs that have recently attacked people.
Much Appreciated...

I have a 2 yr old Husky who has been digging up my back yard, even exposing roots to some very old trees. I have tried red pepper flakes in the holes and he just waits until it rains and digs again or moves to another part of the yard and digs. Help!

Last Wednesday she was spayed, she was on Metacam for 3 days. In the morning and at night she seems to go back to normal but she's only eating her wet food, not her dry, and drinking water at night. During the day she lays around and drools (smelly drool from the medicine) and hasn't given herself a bath.

Our vet said we could give her more Metacam if we felt she was in pain, but I don't want to make her more drugged up than she already is. He also said that cats and dogs drool when they have a bitter taste in their mouth. She's also smacking her mouth a lot (like when people taste something sour).

When can I expect her to return to normal and start bathing again?

I have two pygmys ready to give birth soon. They live in a nice shed thats is probably 8x8 that opens up to a good size pen. Can my pgymys stay together and give birth or will the other one try to take the babies or kill them before she has her own???? I know 2 pregnant mares near birth of each other will attempt to steal the other foal if foaled out in the field together. What will pymy's do? I don't have another way to split them up right now. Experts only!!!
