I don't mean what the costs are to the cat. I don't mean to be curt but I keep receiving rude answers stating that it's inhumane and I'm not fit to own my cat if I'm considering it. What would be inhumane is if I had to give my cat to the only shelter in my area that happens to be overloaded and, a high kill shelter because I am allergic to the his scratches and he chews the nail caps off and then injests them causing him illness. I have exhausted every other avenue and I just am looking for an average price. Maybe someone has had their cat declawed and can tell me how much they paid.

Thanks!

My cat had fleas and was scratching alot. I treated him for the fleas but he still scratches the scabs. He now has bald spots from this.

I have 2. One is a long furred and the other a short hair. They are very loyal, loving & smart. The short hair is almost 3 years old and I got her at 8 weeks old. I had her paper trained within 48 hours. And she has been able to get me to laugh almost everyday. They are both very good looking dogs and always draw attention from people including children when I take them out in public. They are very low maintenance, smart and fun.

my female dog is on her period, besides spaying her, is there any other alternatives I could use for the mess she leaves behind.

A friend lives in a neighborhood with at least three pit bulls similar to her own (varying degrees of white and brown). In Nov., a woman walking her husky (which she walks past my friend's house at least once a day for the past year) was attacked by one of these pit bulls a block from my friend's house. Yes, Sabbath (my friend's dog) barks at this husky, but it's one of those, "Hey! There's a dog! Another Dog! Hey! I want to go for a walk too!" barks. Anywho, law enforcement knocks on my friend's door asking where her dog is, and it was just involved in an attack. So long story short, they took Sabbath, hauled him off to lockup, labeled him a dangerous dog, etc. Here's the thing though. Witnesses say they sprayed the attacking dog with mace. We've seen the pics of the husky that was attacked. No mace or blood on Sabbath, but this woman said it was the one, so off he goes. No one seems worried about getting the dog that really did it.

What do YOU think?

I am feeding him MediCal Develoment Formula (canned). I was feeding him as much as he wanted, which worked out to half of a 170 g (6 oz) can everyday. But he was vomiting. I called the vet and he said to limit him to 1/3 of a can a day because he may be overeating, thus causing sickness. So now I feed him 1/3 of a can divided up over 3 feedings. He eats his portion very quickly - within seconds, and then meows for more and sits by his empty dish looking forlorn. He has, however, stopped vomiting. But he acts like I am starving him!

My Husband and I are going to retire in one year. I have a 7 year old female American Eskimo. She is wonderful, but she has one severe problem. She barks loud. She doesn't bark at night but she barks at anyone going by the house or near. The reason for my question is we are going to buy a RV and travel for three months before we settle down in South Carolina in a lake community. The houses are close together like in a resort.

I don't want to bother my neighbors. Where we live now we have never had anyone complain about her. But I know That she will bark and I also would like to have friends over. Even my Son says when he comes over that it does get on his nerves.

I have disciplined her, but she is very strong willed. She is not aggressive or ever bitten anyone. Help please.

I have had my cockatail for 1 year but he still shakes and does not communicate very often. I was wondering if there is anything else i could do. I am thinking about getting another one to see if that will make him happier.

on christmas my inlaw's dog bit the face of my 18 month old neice. the child did not even notice the dog, which is a lhasa, (just to put a stop to the pit bull lynching mob), the dog jumped off the couch and aggressivley attacked her cheek. thankfuly no skin was broken. have a 1 year old child who could have been the one attacked just as easily. now my inlaws say the dog was just nervous because of the commotion and they will watch him closer. but they are not going to put him in a seperate room, or crate because he will think he is being punished. well now i'm the bad person because i will not let my child go over without me there and she can't get down if the dogs are not put up. am i wrong?

just to add, their other dog is a shih tzu, and they even admitted that they thought he would be the one to finally get one of the kids, not the other dog. this is why i'm insisting both dog be put up.

also these dogs run the house and do whatever they want, with no consequences

She's a 9 month old pug. Her bowel movements are normal, we feed her hard food. She started 'scooting' 3 days ago, so i called the vet, they said it means her anal gland needs to be emptied. So we took her there yesterday. But this morning after she went out to do her business, she scooted again after she came back in. Did they not empty it properly? Or is it something else?

at first she's normal, totally fine, very active, easy to feed. But about 3 weeks ago, she began to eat less than usual, less.. less.. then she stopped eating, basking a lot, closed her eyes all the time, and everytime i try to move her to the water, she floats, then she panic like drowning, so i help her to get out of the water.
then she open wide her mouth taking air as much as possible, maybe she has difficulty in breathing with her nose. i look closely, her left eye is puffy, and there's something on her nose. i try to pick it but i can't.

it's been more than a week she didn't eat anything. i'm totally panic, VERY worry about her. i took her to some vets, they don't know anything about turtle. what should i do?? what happened with her?? HELP!!
