A vaccine was the main concern now it is up to the owners to properly vaccinate against disease. Other wise its the aniaml world and survival of the fittest. Animal mortality rates are at an all time high but so is the population of animals.

If current diseases were eradicated there would be more appear just as parvo pretty much just appeared in the late 60 early seventies when the population was escalating.

RE: Does a parvo shot treatment parvo or avert parvo? I have been given a clean doggy approximately 3 months in the past and that i took him to the vet lower back for a verify up presently. The vet suggested hes large and each thing, then went forward and gave him a parvo shot. He doesn't have parvo, yet i became curious does the parvo shot treatment parvo or avert him from ever getting parvo?

Parvo is considered a preventable disease by vaccination. Assuming your dog is adequately vaccinated, than it is not an issue. That being said, Parvo is a virus. Think of it in terms of their not being a cure for the flu, but you can recieve a flu shot (however, i would argue the parvo vaccine is much much more effective).

yes it's called your veterinarian. parvo is preventable if you take proper precautions before taking you pup outdoors, like to parks, petstores, etc...and well the pup needs to be vaccinated against parvo. nothing is 100% but you have a much better chance with a parvo vaccine protecting your pup than the flu shot does for you. but the vaccine for this disease has been on the market since the early to mid 80's,

I don't think so, but probably. Get your puppy vacinated, only puppies can get it. I work for a vet and every parvo case we have had, has made it. and there are alot. IV fluids for about a week and isolation is the best you can get. wear gloves and protective clothing when messing with them. i've seen more dogs die from parvo because people don't love on them because they are scared to pass the disease to another dog.

No, but it can be avoided by getting your dog vaccinated.
