it depends on the size. if it's small, about 6 inches from head to tail, it's a lovebird. if it's larger 6 inches, like 10-12 inches from head to tail, that will be a sun conure. by looking at the picture it can easily be either, so it just depends on it's size.

he's adorable though, are you keeping it?

I believe it is a sun conure parrot. Although, love birds look very much alike the green tail with a sun face is the give away. It must have had a hard time, it does not look very old either. Is it eating ok? Put an ad in the paper and check the bird sites. Someone is kicking themselve over losing this baby. Good luck.

That would be either a Abyssian lovebird, or a Normal Fischer's Lovebird. I've got 2 blue masked lovebirds and b4 i got them i noticed the same kinda bird thats in the photo was much alike like the 2 that were in the cage wit them. They are very rare so ur very lucky 2 have that species! Hope u have fun wit ur lovebird!

I breed birds, and between fees for their nutrition, hand feeding formula and aspects, cages, toys, brooders, vet appointments, and each little thing else, you do no longer likely make lots of a earnings interior the long-term. it somewhat is greater only something you truly want to do. to no longer point out the vast volume of non-public time that has to bypass into all of it to come again out with satisfied, healthful nicely adjusted birds. no person is going to need to purchase an unsocialized, advise, parrot. you mustn't initiate only breeding a sequence style of birds to attempt and make money. you should locate a species you like, and function had as a puppy, THEN think of approximately breeding in case you could surely make the dedication in the two time and money, are keen to have the birds checked through a vet, and are keen to locate the final obtainable properties on your birds, and be keen to maintain those you could not sell. there is mostly a grab that for despite reason does not sell as speedy, or for despite reason finally ends up staying with you longer.

Does this bird look IDENTICAL to the one in the link? Other than the red bill, I would say that this is a peach-face lovebird. However, lovebirds do not have red bills. This bird looks more on the order of a 1/2-Moon parrot, perhaps a youngster who does not have his full color yet.
Try looking in your local newspaper to see if someone is advertising that they have lost one. Hope this is some kind of help.

It looks like a love bird...how big is it? Lovebirds are small african parrots. Here's a picture of one http://www.snakesandfrogs.com/scra/notes/images/lovebird.jpg
