Pets - 3 January 2007

He is locked in at night for safety reasons but then when he is waiting to get let out in morning he usually urinates on letters that arrive or on any item I may have left on the floor, be it rucksacks, suitcase, newspaper. It has started happneing more and more over last couple of weeks to the point of it happening every morning now.

i ask this as it never seems 2 hang around with its own type and i have had i platie die this morning with no signs of illness and everything was fine untill i added the guppys.

i have:
2x weather loachs
2x corie cats (small)
2x black widow tetra
3x angels 2x 1 inch and 1x 2inch
1x male guppy
4x female guppys
8x black neons
1x neon
1x plec
3x harliquins
6x platies

things have bin well in the tank 4 ages until the guppys went in and now the male torments most of the other fish.

My dog had a litter of pups, who will be 6 weeks in a couple of days. They all have good homes lined up, and are pretty much weaned, only feeding from the ***** occasionally. The ***** is giving them the cold shoulder and they seem to be quite independent.

I would really appreciate some advice on when to send them to their new homes - the prospective owners are keen to take them, just want some advice of when.

He also has gone a pale and stay at the back of the tank by the heater.My other seven fish including another glowlight seem fine .Have I got a unwell fish or a problem with tank.

i can provide him a lot of physical training. i live in a hot climate (india-delhi) so which one will suit me. there are no kids at my place just me, my mother and dad. at day time only my mother, however i comes early in evening and goes late in morning to my work so i can train him in morning and evening.

A friend of mine suggested that I should get a pug-chihuahua mix breed as a pet, but I have no idea what THAT combination would look like?And also I know that there are certain breeds of dogs with certain temperaments.... the dog that I am looking for is small (not necesarilly something that fits in a bag), friendly and sweet temperament ... and at the same time could make as a good guard dog as well.

i took her to the vet, and he sprayed some Frontline on her. how does it act?? i mean, is she totally free of fleas now?? how about the eggs thats on her fur? do they just drop off or what? how about the fleas? do they die or just drop off and crawl somewhere? he also told me to vacum my house. where are the eggs at exactly?? i cant be vacuming every nook and cranny of my house. i have a really huge house!! how big are these eggs? and how long will they live? can i just spray something on them to make them die?? i vacumed my rom and matteress and changed the sheets. will that do? should i let my cat sleep with me again, or does she still have fleas on her? she is still scartching her neck, but not as much as before. maybe its because of the color? HELP! also, how big are these eggs? and can i see them? how do they look like? what can i do to stop them fleas!!!!!!!!!!!

She is a lovely nice dog, but is very big (40kg), black and frightens make people when they come by and ring the bell. I really think that many friends (especially with little kids ... we have to little ones too) don't visit because of this. Today she jumped on my pregnant neighbour (to say hello!) and well this has got to stop!

I have tried giving her cod liver oil and have changed her food to one with veg and herbs but she is still covered in it. It isn't bothering her at all it just looks horrible.

I have a 3 year old female black lab/ chocolate lab mix. She's not fixed but we dont take her on walks or any where where she can interact with male dogs. I got the stray puppies from the shelter. Additional information is that the puppies were infested with ticks which were treated earlier. Another puppy had maggots grown on the wound made by the ticks. But it has been treated by the vet a day ago.

I seem to own a so-called "deer chihuahua", and her face looks more like a minipin's. Would it be possible that, long time ago, "deer chihuahuas" could have originated from a mix between a minipin and a chihuahua, and people simply categorize them only within the chihuahua beed as a pure breed instead of a hybrid?

i have a 11 week old puppy. i got him when he was 8 weeks old. no matter what i do i can't get him to stop going to bathroom in the house. i take hime out every 2-3 hours, i also use the kennel at night and when i am not home and i also have newspaper down (which he will use sometimes). the main question is how do i get him to let me know when he has to go, he won't cry to let me know when he has to go? please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

This cat has been sick only once with a bout of bronchitis when she was about 6 years old. The only signs of the stroke is that she does not have complete balance. The vet gave her a steriod injection and said to keep her quiet for a few days, but I would like to know if anyone else has come upon this and what you did to support her/him? I am going to be devestated if this cat does not recover. She has been my baby for17 years.
