as for her hating to be bathed, i hate having my feet touched but i trim my toenails anyway. don't get angry with her but be firm and make her stay in the tub, pet her and praise her when she's calm in the tub and being good. if it's always a plesant experience for them they will grow to tolerate it. how often are you bathing her and in what? bathing your dog too often can cause dry flaky skin. once a month is a general rule, and try an oatmeal shampoo made for dogs. if it's really bad take her to the vet. sometimes this is caused by a medical condtion and your vet can test and let you know if it's just dry skin or something that will require medicine. good luck.
the cheaper the food the worse the coat usually. a good premium dog food is best. cheaper foods often contain fillers so your dog has to eat more to get the nutrition they require and thus poos more. plus the more they eat the more you buy, and on and on. it may be cheaper per bag, but not once you figure in how much they are eating.

I find my dogs get a dry skin as soon as we start using the heaters. We give our dogs normal dog food and a cod-liver capsule each. Their coats are shiny and they have no signs of dandruff anymore. We also add tuna fish in oil to their food, only about a tablespoon each dog per feeding. We feed them twice a day. Take care and i hope your problem gets sorted out.:)

There are two things I can advise depending on what is causing the problem in the first place.
Dogs who go outside pick up fleas. If you treat the dog with flea treatment the fleas will die when they feed from the dog, but until that time they can leave 'flea dirt' on the dog which can irritate their skin. Try giving the dog garlic capsules or rub in lavender water to deter fleas and soothe the skin irritation.
If the dog just has irritable skin, lavender and/or tea tree essential oils rubbed into the skin can help soothe the skin.

I normally use an Ayurvedicherbal sampoo for my dog called Erina. That helps the coat stay tick free, soft and drastically reduces or even eliminates itching. You may want to try that shampoo. It is manufactured by Himalaya Drug Company and needs no prescription.

When bathing dogs do not get soap in their face,it burns their eyes just as it does ours. use a shampoo for dry hair and rinse well and conditioner helps plus makes them smell great. I use Flex moisturizing condition it is the best they smell sweet for weeks , also the dry skin could be allergies try a cheap allergy pill.
bathing to often can also dry their skin I try to bath mine every 4 to 6 weeks so not to dry them out

Mix a teaspoon of tumeric per cup of soft food for about a month once a day and it should clear up.

How often do you brush her? Have you asked your vet if it could be something other than dandruff?
