start bathing about 6 week be careful not to get soap in face or the will hate baths they will remember the burning eyes and think of baths as a bad experience rinse face with clear water only and also if you start handling the face and feet they will get use to grooming easier cutting the nails they need to be use to having you handle their feet

most puppy shampooos are labeled for use at 6 weeks. they are tear free and do not burn if gotten in the eyes. sometimes it's hard not to when your teaching a young pup how to stay in the tub. you don't want to bathe your dog more than once a month as it can dry out their skin. unless they just are plain out dirty then when that happens you can throw an extra one in for the month, lol. baby shampoos that are free of dyes and perfumes work well also.

Normally healthy animal don't need bath.It's not good for them.So if it's possible better is don't do it.Or do it as rare as possible.Then if it is necessary,I think,important is not the age,but that you dry him very good.And play with him,so he knows it's an interesting thing and wants it next time.
