Well there's such a thing as doggy diapers. My friend puts them on his dog all the time.

We always just put a "doggy bathing suit" on our pug and then used cut up pads and stuck them to the back. But if you don't want to deal with hassle and you aren't going to breed her, I see no reason why you shouldn't spay her.

Um... she's not "on her period."
It's called estrus, and it's when she's FERTILE. Or "in heat," if you will.
Menstruation in humans typically means that you're NOT pregnant. Estrus in dogs means that they can GET pregnant.
If you're not going to get her spayed, keep her LOCKED UP... she DOESN'T need to be producing puppies.
Aside from that, pet stores sell sanitary belts and pads. You can look into that.

If you don't plan on breeding your dog, spay her. Otherwise, you should use doggie diapers.

yes you can put a doggie hot pad on her. it won't prevent a male from breeding her though, even though they say they do. the best way is to have her spayed for her own health.

please spay her. The world doesnt need anymore Backyard breeders or unwanted puppies. They do have doggie diapers but with those her fur around that area can get messy so either way you have to clean something.

If you have an indoor dog you can put a diaper on her. Thats what we had to do. We just cut a hole for the tale.

I've heard that there are doggy pads. My Chow used to get her period but she was outdoors so she didn't really need much of anything. Check into http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/NavResults.cfm?N=0&Np=1&Ntt=diapers&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=All&Nty=1&pc=1
They have diapers that you can use. I really like this company too!

No. If you do not want to deal with the mess, than have her spayed. Moreover, it's better for her health.
