If the stool is just in the dirt outside, you can try to put mothballs in the dirt. Cats hate the smell of camphor which is the main ingredient in moth balls. You can also do a little investigating to find out whether it is a cat actually going to the bathroom there or if it is a lazy owner who is scooping their box and instead of throwing it away, they're dumping it outside the door. Then you can report them.

I am not sure if I understand your question. Are you saying that you see cat poop next to your door? Cats cover their poop are you sure it is cat poop?Could someone be putting it there? Put orange peals where you see the poop because cats hate the smell of oranges they will stay away from that spot.I am sorry that you hate cats they are very sweet and lovable pets. You can cuddle with them they are like sweet little babies who never grow up.

I'm not sure where you are finding the stools and if you're saying you're finding cat stools on your porch I have to ask, are you sure it's cat stools? Outside cats only go in dirt or the grass, anywhere where they can scratch and cover. Sounds like you have prankster or someone who you've upset.

My cat does the same thing. She actually opens doors, too. She has never liked closed doors and I still do not know why. I thought my cat was the only crazy one. She also beats up my really fat cat.

Lock the door.
:D
Cayenne Peppers work as well. Or you could put food really far from your door, feed them for a while, then stop all of a sudden, and they will not expect food from your door.
Good Luck.

Sprinkle hot pepper powder in that area if it is in a non-traffic area. You don't want to pepper neighbors, children, neighbors dogs (they might pick it up on their paws then lick it off, or sniff it), etc.

HI
My mother swears by putting a lot of chayenne pepper where you don't want them to poo. She says it works great.
