Yes, but the extend to which we depend upon them has reduced over decades. For example, if we look a few decades ago, horses were used mainly for transport. Now, we see very few horses on the road. Horses now have become animals of sport and recreation. Atleast, that's what is happening to the urban areas.

Yes we do depend upon the domestic animals for the food and milk being the main reasons. Like I said, technology has replaced men in many places. It happened to animals long ago.

The sledges replaced reindeer, vehicles replaced animal-driven carts, burglar alarms replaced dogs... Well, technology needn't be taken care of like the animals...

Think about the word you used in your question. "Domesticated" is the key to the answer to your own question.

One definition for "domesticate" is: "" to tame (an animal), esp. by generations of breeding, to live in close association with human beings as a pet or work animal and usually creating a dependency so that the animal loses its ability to live in the wild.""

So your question is almost redundant in it's essence. Of course humans are dependant upon domesticated animals. Humans make them that way.

Yes. For food, and companions in most of the world and as beasts of burden in many parts of the world.

yes, i think companionship and friendship is the main thing. animals are loyal to a fault and love endlessly. i think that is why humans love them so much, their huge copacity to love. we tend to look up to them for their personalities in things like that. i know i do!

The phrase is "we live in symbiosis". Otherwise, we would be considered parasites.
