Take the bone away from him. If you are talking about a different kind of "bone" then um, just tell him firmly, NO! or move him to another room.

Well to be truthful this really shouldnt bother your guest like c'mon hes a dog, dogs do that kinda stuff lol. But i guess if it really bothers you take it away or just put the dog in another room WITH the milk-bone

spray his happy area with vinegar just before guests arrive. not only does it taste nasty, it helps stop the itching and is safe for fido. Just a quick spritz does it
