If they are not fertilised, can the female terrapin/tortoise (i can't tell the difference) still lay the eggs? Do the eggs have to be fertilised first before they hatch? Or can they just hatch without fertilisation (like Komodo Dragons) as long as they are buried in a good place?
Thanks.

what can I do for her? I just gave her a bath and she was pissed at me for it. When I went outside to clean her litter box she ran out as I tried to close the door. She was gone for 2 days. She came back tonight and I picked her up she started licking me and thats when i smelled that horrible gagging smell. Im afraid if I give her another bath she'll try and take off again. What else can I do to get that smell off of her?

My female cat has been in heat for about 3 days now and I was wondering how much longer. I will get her spayed as soon as she is not in heat anymore. It cost more if they are in heat when you do it. She is driving me bananas.

My friend fed her dog alot of spice. Around the same time her dog's tail was injured. Ever since then her dog has been growling more then usual. I am wondering if her tail is the reason for the growling or the spice.

She is a wonderful dog but sometimes seems bored or lonely when not getting the attention she thinks she needs.

I've seen my neighbor's kids (age 8 and 6) climbing riding their pregnant mare bareback around the pasture. Really, she's just in a halter, so she goes where she pleases. She doesn't seem to mind their presence at all, but I cringe everytime I see them kick her belly!

I don't want to start a ruckus with my neighbor--he's touchy--but I will go over and talk to him if that mare is in danger. What do you think?

My brother is having a problem with what he says are "green very tiny tadpole looking things". He says they look like larva and turn the water into a greenish color, when he opens the lid there are alot of nats on the inside of the lid. I'd appreciate if someone could tell me what they are and no, he doesn't have frogs in his aquarium. I was thinking that they were "planaria"? But I don't know. Any insight could help.

Hypothetical question.

If someone feeds their dog a raw egg, and it had e. coli or salmanilla, would the dog get it, or are dogs better equiped to not get it at all?

So far, i got this kitten last week, and he is 8 WEEKS old. I am currently feeding it IAMS, which i dont think is the problem. For my kitten, it has long fur, which means that every time he poops in the litterbox, i must clean his be-hind or else he will leave trails of poop everywhere he goes (esp when he sits, or has poop around his feet from stepping on it when covering it with kitty litter stuff). I just simply use damp tissues to wipe him, and im not rough with him. It was just yesterday, when i found little spots of blood in his feces, its not a ton of blood, only very little. Im being very careful and responsible with him everyday, so please do not critizise me by saying im a bad owner. Thanks for your time!
