My mother said there was some kind of bacteria in it that kids and old people should steer clear of, because of there immune systems.

hiding and running away from him and overall acting strangely. I know there isn't anything physically wrong with her because I just recently took her to the vet and she had an exam and bloodwork and everything was fine. Isn't this strange?

Goldendoodles & Cockapoos...how do you explain how they become shed-free & hypoallergenic by being half poodle? Can you base it on facts?

By your vet! A phone call is free! A lot of us 'answerers' do know what we're talking about, but your vet is close to you, should know you and your pet, and is a licensed practitioner! A lot of these questions are vague and broad, and animals, especially dogs and cats, can have similar symptoms for MANY diseases, life threatening or otherwise! Don't wait for a 'best answer' on here when there may be something seriously wrong with your baby!

The most popular seem to be Heartgard and Sentinel. Any preferences?

My dog is a little nippy around other dogs, he is still very playful, but has hip displasia. My husband is worried that it will make his last few years of life miserable if we add a new dog to the house. I want to get a new dog so it can learn traits from our dog, and also think it will lessen the blow of losing Mike when he passes. Hes a siberian husky german shepherd mix, any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks

I've got 2 lop rabbits, and my sister has a big siamese cat. Should I be worried that the cat could eat them?

and he seems to have settled in pretty well. He is litter trained (So easy! Love it!) but I have 2 worries about him:

The first is that he often sucks on his own leg and purrs all the while. I understand this may be because he was taken from his mum too early and it's a comfort thing. But I'm worried that he will hurt his paw/leg?

The second thing is that while I managed to get him to not see my hands and ankles as toys, he won't leave my housemate alone! As soon as she comes in he goes crazy: racing around everywhere and jumping at her with claws and teeth. It doesn't seem intentionally violent, but if I can't sort this problem, she may make me get rid of him.

Help!

Thanks for your help, everyone!!

and it is white with lots of feathers with feathered feet. It doesn't look like your average pigeon and doesn't seem scared, he gets really close. Are there normal pigeons that look like this or does he belong to someone?

our girls got an aquarium for christmas, on thursday morning we filled the tank up with water (normal tap water, nothing added, like the bloke in the fish shop told us to.) then we waited all day for the water to get to the right temperature 26 degrees farenheit. we bought our fish 2 angel fishes, 3 zebra fishes, 4 guppy's and 2 plecostomus. they were fine, but then the water now looks so cloudy you can't really see the fish inside. all the fish are just gathered in a corner by the filter and not really swimming around much. when we woke up this morning (saturday) one of the angel fishes were dead, it had lasted a day and a half. where did we go wrong, is it the water, should we have added something, is everything working correctly? please help!!!
