I just got a two month old pit bull, and I love him. He's really sweet. Problem is I keep reading all this negative stuff about the pup. Will he really turn on you at any moment...or be a bad pup?

I bought a pair of turtles today in Chinatown, and I want to know what kind they are so I can take good care of them.

They're VERY small, about the size of a half dollar, and the lady said they won't grow to be any bigger. They are green with yellow stripes on their skin and red spots on the sides of their faces. The shells are also green and swirly and have a thin yellow line around the edge. The bottom of the shells are yellow with swirly black spots.

My cat purrs when you pet her but when I pet she tries biting me and starts atacking. But when she enters the house she starts purring??? So what does it mean when my cat purrs?? Does it mean that their happy or mad?????????

We just got our hamster yesterday. She is taking bedding and food up the tube to her exercise ball, which is attached to the cage. When she exercises, the bedding and food fly out of the cracks and makes a mess! Plus, I don't know if she is exercising the way she should be with it full of this stuff. How can I keep her from doing this without upsetting her?

In the past month my 8 year old cat, liddy has been acting very odd. Specificaly within the past week she has been very seclusive. She rarely comes when we call her..and she almost seems to ignore us! My first though was to take her to the vet..I thought she might be losing some of her hearing..but as i observe her more and more i think its something different. Her eyes are almost always dilated and even if shes sitting right next to you and oyu make a loud nois, she'll only push back her ears. Not even turn her head and lok at you.
This is very strange for her, shes surrounded with great tihngs, just me, my mom, and my dad. any thoughts on what could be wrong??

My dad mentioned something today making me slightly nervous..he said he was listening to a religious radio station and that people were saying all animals had been acting strange lately. They thought maybe there was going to be some sort of tragedy...could this be true? have other animals been acting strangely, too?

i have 2 very rotten cats...they like to bring their favorite toys and drop them on the bed sometimes in the middle of the night...like the little furry mice and some of the balls that have a little bell in them (they can bite the plastic balls and tote them around)...are my cats just weird or do other people have cats who do the same thing? She will actually fetch on occasion...got tired of "fetching" one of the balls one time so she dropped it in her little toybox as if she was saying "enough"...

How do I know what kind of worm it is? I had over the counter wormer in my house but it said it was for roundworms and hookworms. The tapeworm is described as being seen in small dried pieces. This doesn't look like roundworm as she has had that before but there aren't any tiny/small pieces like described in tapeworm. Only long ones. Help?

I'd say their shells are about 1 and a half inches wide. I'm babysitting them for my friend and might actually keep them for life. However, her instructions weren't as specific as the ones on petco.com. A link to a website with a concise article will do. Thanks!

This is her first time and she is about 15 months old. What are some of the signs she's in labor? How long can she be in labor for? What do I do when she starts having the kittens? I have a 17 year old Himilayan cat ( spelling?) Hes never had any sort of health problems untill recently... currently hes got teeth that are tender and abcessing.. one day he scratched his mouth and made the swollen part of his face burst open and all the infection came out! ...His gums are sore.. I am sure thats why hes not eating as much as he should.. But right now he is so thin!!! I can feel his bones through all his fur!.. I try to push him to eat but he will eat very little.. I have tryed canned food and wetting his dry... Nothings works.... He drinks water like hes dieing of thirst!! .... We have talked to a vet and was hopeing to get the teeth removed at least so he wont be in pain, but the vet tells us the chances of him coming out of the anisthetic are slim, due to his age.... What does a person do in this situation? He is a normally healthy cat and very active but lately I have seen some very unnerveing problems.... Any SERIOUS advice would help.. THANKS..

well...in california,they want to kill all pitbulls and make a law forbidding anyone to own a pitbull.i mean...if people vote yes then this law could spread throughtout the entire u.s.THIS IS SO UNFAIR!!! what have they done to us? its not their fault they were born wild and are meant to hunt.do you agree with killing these poor,inocent animals?plz vote no!

my neighbor has 5 cats and 2 dogs and they all come from across the street to mine and the neighbors house beside me to use the restroom. i used to just use a glove and toss it all back in her yard but now im tired of it. what kind of laws are there about their animals running around and going to the restroom in mine and the persons yard next to me? thanks
