This is her first time and she is about 15 months old. What are some of the signs she's in labor? How long can she be in labor for? What do I do when she starts having the kittens? Please tell me anything you know, about before she's in labor, during, and after. Even if you have any information on what to do with the kittens would be extremely helpful.

When she meows and her stomach gets hard she is in labor. Put her in a beer box or old dresser drawer with some old clothing in bottom some where dark and quit like the closet. May take a couple three times of putting her in the box. She will know what to do from there. Peek in once in a while to make sure every thing is going OK.
She might decide to have them some where else. try to get her to have the kittens in a box that she can jump in and out of that the kittens won't be able to for a while.
Keep water close right after delivery, she may want a little something to eat but will mostly want something to drink.

There are no sure signs of telling you when she's about to go in labor.. Chances are she will find a place within in your home away from everyone else to have her kittens. When she does have the kittens.. Try to make it as comfortable as possible for her.. And by all means, do not pick up the kittens when they are born. Let her do what she has to as a mother. Trust me, when they are born she will know what to do. The only real thing you can do is check on her and her babies from time to time to make sure they are okay.

Most cats usually find a closet or under a couch, under a bed, well maybe you get the idea, to give birth at. you also might wanna consider getting extra kitten milk from a pet store to help her feed the kittens the can tell you how to go about that. Plus make sure you have plenty of food water, and keep a pair of scissors handy cuz the umbilical cord might need to be cut sometimes they can't do it. Don't be alarmed if she might eat the after birth,If you can try to not let her eat it though. hopefully this will help you out. Good Luck.

Call a vet for a play-by-play of what to do. Sometimes the mom/ kittens need help, and sometimes you can do irreprable damage by getting in the way.
Don't forget to keep your kitty inside after she delivers. Cats are most fertile right after they have a litter. And get her spayed as soon as the vet says it's okay so you don't have too many kittens with no homes.
