Your cats sound like they love you very much to bring you presents. I had a cat once who brought me something she killed every day, even if it was just a bluetail lizzard, which she piled up in the tomato garden. Completely disgusting to me? Oh yes! But the thought of an animal, a domesticated animal hunting for you and bringing you their prize is...well...the most unselfish act I can think of. You are blessed. And yeah, they know way more than we give them credit for. I had a siamese mix/snowshoe who when I was upset or crying would come hold my face in her paws and lick away my tears and mew softly in my face as if to tell me everything was okay, just hang in there. I had her for 12 years, then she died, and I miss her so much. She used to try to save me from the shower too. Sounds to me like your cats are pretty special too.

Your cat considers the play mouse to be like a real mouse (if he didn't then the toy would not be nearly as much fun now would it) so his little presents are just his way of showing you that he loves you, he doesn't know that they're fake. As for throwing it or not cats can be pretty easily offended especially in that sort of situation so maybe when he does this grab a different toy from somewhere nearby and play fetch with him with that, that way you can still play with him when he gives you the attention but you do you don't throw is present to you.

i have read in a book that when a cat brings you something like a toy mouse that it thinks it "killed" that it is tring to show you how it is done, but it just sounds like she wants to play. also most cats dont care what you give it to play with as long as it can play with it and it makes noise, we actually made a toy for my cat using an old plush heart, an old pill bottle, and some rice. place the rice in the bottle and close the bottle, then sew the bottle inside the toy with some catnip to get the cat's attention. the cat will enjoy beating it around since it rattles and it will even work at trying to get the toy open and getting to the catnip.

That's normal for cats. My cat walks around the house late at night sometimes carrying his toy and meowing loud. Just a cat being a cat,

No, your cats aren't weird! My cat does this all the time. (occasionally with real mice and lizards) Cats appreciate all that you do for them so they bring your "presents" to thank you. They like to see how proud you are of them so don't get mad! Just go along with it and they'll be happy.
If you don't want them coming into your room in the middle of the night, just make sure to close the door. =)

This is actually typical cat behavior. Cats are hunters, and also are nocturnal, stalking prey at night. If you had outdoor cats, they'd be bringing you dead birds and mice to your doorstep.
Your cats sound like a really smart little fellas with lots of personality!

My mom's cat which happens to be a big black male Maine Coon named Bucky does the same thing with his toys. My mom goes to make the bed every day and she has to clear it of cat toys first. And what's worst is he's teaching the other two cats to do the same thing. It's perfectly normal. It's their way of showing love and affection. To me it seems like their sharing their toys with the ones they love.

There is nothing wrong with your cats.....
this is just one way they show affection for you.
I have had several cats through the years, both indoor and outdoor and the outdoor cats would go so far as to kill a mouse
or other creature and leave it on the porch. My indoor cats have also brought me their toys.
Cats are very smart creatures and yours obviously think alot of you.

Nine times out of ten,the cat is bringing you the mouse or "object for your approval. Be gad it's not the real thing like a lizard, frog, bird,OR a real mouse.
Cats are natural hunters and yes they have the attitude, but they still seek their masters attention from time to time.
