At 10 weeks you can put a buckle collar on him with a lead and get him used to it. You can also use a kennel lead on him at this age. He is a little too young for a choke at this point.

Start with letting him wear a collar first, for at least a week, then attached a light weight leash to it, and let him drag it around the house for couple of days. He'll be walking on a leash with no problem whatsoever.
If you keep your puppy outside, do the same with the leash, but only under your complete supervision. Remove it when the pup is alone.

Yes, but make sure the leash is an appropriate size/weight for your puppy. Make sure it's not too heavy, and that the collar isn't too tight, nor too loose for the puppy to squirm out of (a good way to tell: it's just right if you can fit two fingers between the collar and the puppy).
The earlier you start getting your dog used to being on a leash, the easier it will be to train him/her to walk on a leash properly.

It's always a good idea to start leash training your puppy at an early age. If your puppy tries to fight the leash, practice inside your home first using small pieces of soft treats for encouragement. Keep the puppy close to you as you walk and make sure that he/she is paying attention to you as you train.
This is a great way to show your puppy that you are in charge and can help you avoid power struggles in the future.

Absolutely! The earlier you start, the better they will adjust long term. I'd suggest getting a thin, lightweight leash that you can leave attached to your puppy's collar in the house (only under supervision of course) so she can get used to the feeling of a leash. Then you can slowly pick it up and let her start to lead you around the house and around the grass outside. Once she gets the concept and stops fighting the leash, then you can start teaching her not to pull on it (if she does).
Good luck!

Yep thats fine...you want them to get used to a leash or you'll have problem when they are older. My 9 week GSD started walking on the leash when he was 7 weeks old. They hate it at first but with time they will get used to it.

Absolutely. 2.5 months is old enough to start leash training. Take it easy with the pup though. Don't keep it on the leash all the time.

look. im a part time dog breeder.i have 1 great dane, 1 neopolitan Mastiff, 2 Pug, 1 St. Bernard, 1 Old English Mastiff. i hardly disagree with leeshig any of the dogs, is purely disadvantageous. so try not to tie your dog which might make your dog ferocious, so dont tie it. and the most important thing is you have a GSD which is one of the dangerous dogs. so dont tie it leave it free always whether it is 2.5 months or yrs old otherwise it will become psycho and i think you can understand the consequences much

yes, just make sure he knows YOU'RE leading him, and not the other way around. trust me I have two gsd's and if you're not careful they'll pull you into someone's yard chasing after a squirrel.
And don't listen to people stereotyping gsd's, like "all gsd's are killer psycho dogs" My purebred gsd's wouldn't hurt a fly, they LOVE people. It's all in how they're raised. If you love him/her and socialize him/her, then he/she should turn out to be a great dog.
