I had a bad experience keeping bettas, but I like the fish a lot, I now have a small 1g tank about 9"x3" in size, with bonsai bamboos in it. so can i hav a betta in the present tank with bamboos. And what should I feed it with, in my earlier experience I never saw bettas eat. They soon died after 10days or so. A detailed note on betta keeping is due required.

What can I do to stop the biting, because its really starting to hurt. We never allowed her to bite us before. I tried all the puppy training methods. We searched all the websites and still no results. She is teething but she has teething bones and chew toys. Also she thinks she is the dominant one in the house, how can we teach her that we are the big cheeses and she is a minion puppy? I love her but the biting and dominanace has to stop. Everytime we yell at her or tell her to STOP she takes it as a joke and starts to bark and growl. We had a dog for 17 years and she recently passed away, I was too small to train a dog so my mom did it. She can't remember what she did to stop my old dog from biting when she was puppy. Please Help! Thanks.

My dogs love to be in the fresh air and lay in the sun so they spend quite a bit of time outdoors. Any time I leave I have to lock them up in a kennel because every time I come in to piles and puddles and by that time they don't know why they are being scolded. I am a stay at home mom with a 1-year-old son, so they still get lots of attention and when I leave it's usually not more than 20-30 mins. Even in that small time frame I find messes 95% of the time. I have 2 females, Pepper (5 years) and PJ (Pepper Junior( 2 years) momma and daughter, respectivley, if that helps any.

I've been noticing that the candy canes on the christmas tree have missing. I busted my min-pin pulling one off and eating it. She peels off the wrapper and eats it. She has been teaching my other dog to do this. I know chocolate is bad for dogs but what about peppermint? Or is a little bit alright?

I recently found my dog in a pound about 2 hours from where I live. I have been searching for him for over a year and have finally been reunited with him. The problem is, he has heartworms now...and I am moving to Italy on January 2nd. Can he go with me overseas...even though he has this health problem? I would certainly have him on regular treatment while over there...but would the plane allow it...or would Italy even allow him to enter?

my kitten got ahold of my chicken bones( cooked) and i caught it but hopefully i caught it soon enough. It doesnt seem that he got tooo far in eating it though i know he like crunchy foods im pretty shure its bad. what do i do will milk help it pass though a bit more. hes active but what do i do i love him dearly and im worried

I have a female that I took with me to my mothers house for vacation. While we were there she went into heat and the male started to spray becuase she has not yet had him neutered( in the process), she is no longer there, however he is still spraying and meowing consistently? Will this stop before we get him fixed, or will it be a continual thing... and if so what can we do to sooth it?

i have been observing my kitten and i noticed that he grooms alot. and i really mean ALOT! when he grooms, he takes longer time to groom this particular area around his body. I checked if he has fleas because he has been scratching/biting/grooming that part alot. And i felt something there, it was like a dandruff stuck in his fur. The problem is i couldn't take it out! I observed nearer and noticed this red patch like as if it's dry blood. I tried everything! but it just won't come out. I don't want my kitten to keep scratching and biting himself. Is there any way i can take it out? Is it possible that he has fleas in his body? Or is it dandruff? i heard cats have dandruff too. please help! thanks.

my cat runs through the house and then climbs the curtains. Then when I get him down he stares at the ceiling and there's nothing there. Sometimes he gets scared of his own tail and runs from it or tries to attack it. Is he retarded?

I have a sweet 9 week old puppy that I need to kennel for 4 days. The kennel facility will keep my little boy separate from the other dogs, in a small kennel in the office (with another puppy in another crate). They will also give him time outside. Is this ok? It just worries me because he is so young and while he is up to date with all his shots, he hasn't gotten rabies and other boosters.

I recently saw this article today explaining that a cat, yes...a cat like a pet cat, has been found on Mars. Did anyone else hear about this? This entire time they argue if there is water on Mars but they knew of the cat all along!

I took my kitten(he's now full grown) in a few months ago when one of my neighbors abandoned him. He's a wonderful family member now-but I think he's strange. He sleeps on his back with his legs wide open(which led me to a interesting conversation with my four year old daughter about the 'thing' sticking out between his legs), he constantly walks on his hind legs for no apparent reason and he's very vocal-he meows for everything, as if he's really trying to get something out, but we just aren't understanding him. I sent my Mom a pic of him and she says he's a Tabby and this behavior is normal for a Tabby. Is this true, or is my cat bonkers? LOL...
