Agressiveness comes from several factors>>> Genetics ,Enviremental factors, Improper care and training,Inbreeding ,line breeding , or family breeding on dogs that have or show aggression.
I show and train German shepherds And find no difference. The Female seems to show more loyality and affection and the male shows more dominacy However, this is not always the case. It all is in the SELECTION of the breeding pair. The germans are HIGHLY selectise in their breeding stock.
This is the reasons that you should purchase from an experienced breeder , who is interested in the advancement of the breed .

Usually it's the female that is more aggressive. Male dogs will fight over a female in heat, but otherwise it's the female that is aggressive. But you can't only go by that. It also depends on the breed of dog, if it's been fixed or not and the age and health of a dog.

I have 2 dogs one of each In my case my female is more aggressive. But I believe it comes from the way she was treated the first year of her life, she was very abused and mistreated. I have had her for five years and she is not as aggressive as she was when I first got her. I believe aggression comes from the way an animal is treated and whether or not the were socialized. I don't think aggression should be solely based on breed.

Really depends on the animals personality. My female poodle is way more aggressive toward big dogs, yet my male poodle is only aggressive to puppies!

As someone has already said it depends more on the species rathar than the sex. But just like humans females have more of the 'bitchiness' trait in their nature (more so for a female on heat or a hungry female) which makes a male dog generally more agreeable.

Studies show that males are more likely to show dominance aggression.
But females can be aggressive too...
Aggression comes from part genetic influences and part learned behaviours.

It varies greatly on the dog's personality, breed, and how the dog was raised/trained. However, it is in my experience that male dogs are friendlier and a bit calmer. But again, it really depends on so many other factors other than the dog's sex.

any unaltered dog can be more aggressive. usually dogs that are not socialized and trained can be aggressive. if you are asking because you are trying to find a good natured dog, research breeds, then once you have a pup, train and socialize it, expose the pup to everything you can safely. if you are asking because you actually want to get the most aggressive dog you can get, then please go stand in front of a bus.
