I took my kitten(he's now full grown) in a few months ago when one of my neighbors abandoned him. He's a wonderful family member now-but I think he's strange. He sleeps on his back with his legs wide open(which led me to a interesting conversation with my four year old daughter about the 'thing' sticking out between his legs), he constantly walks on his hind legs for no apparent reason and he's very vocal-he meows for everything, as if he's really trying to get something out, but we just aren't understanding him. I sent my Mom a pic of him and she says he's a Tabby and this behavior is normal for a Tabby. Is this true, or is my cat bonkers? LOL...

He's normal for a cat that's goofing around. He's probably trying to reach something when he's on his hind legs. Some people say animals can see things we can't though. Like spirits and things. Some times they will look like they are looking at something that we can't see. I don't know if it's a spirit or not. Some people even think cats are evil. I don't know. The more i think about it , I'm kinda wondering about the walking on the hind leg thing for no reason. That part is kinda strange.

LOL! You do not know so much approximately "natural-bread" cats first it's spelled breed or bred. Long furred monster?? average egyptian cat? There are a few breeds which might be a traditional breed and feature lengthy, medium and quick fur. I have not met an extended furred monster cat coming from any breeder. Unless this is a unhealthy breeder. The Maine Coon is a traditional breed from the United States. Originated the state of Maine. Read up at the breed. And with a "Pure-Bread" cat you do realize what to anticipate in wellbeing and temperament and of path cosmetic is within the eye of the beholder. With a "average cat" you do not know its historical past what's within the household strains, what genetic defaults, wellbeing problems are. Now mentioning that kittens from the equal clutter can develop up otherwise simply as any brother and sister they're going to no longer all be the equal. Genetics performs a significant aspect in that. I cannot realize why men and women name others names simply in view that they have got distinctive evaluations. No 2 men and women consider, seem or act alike and all must be revered for his or her likes and evaluations even supposing they don't seem to be what you suppose in. R P Cat Maine Coons YEP One of the ones "Pure-Breads" LOL

My cat also used to walk on her hind legs and sleep on her back like that and meow weird, but she was black and white. Some cats are just more human like than others.

Totally normal. I have a female Tabby and she prefers to sleep on her back spread eagle sometimes. It's just part of their personality. Some cats just act different from others just like people.

Nah he cool. My cat does that sleeping on his back. I think they imitating humans (Mine does it alot). He will lay on his back with legs open and kinda pointing upwards. If he walks on hind legs alot it may be for attention (since you prolly give it) and again imitation. Uf he meowing alot, he may be trying to say something but watch his tail, it will tell you his mood and give you hints. If it straight up and like a "?" at the end then he happy, if it swaying back n forth side to side, he bored, and if it's end is twitching, slapping, he mad.

sounds pretty normal for a cat, though you might check to see if he's deaf. I had a cat that was LOUD and very vocal, and it turned out that he was totally deaf.
