NEVER BUY A DOG FROM A PET STORE!!! Do you know where pet store pups come from? Puppy Hell (Mills) ! Dogs are bred over and over again in !@#$##^$^#^ conditions!! buying these pups just supports and reward these irresponsible people that use dogs as machines! Pet Store do nothing for you. They put a massive price tag on the dog, you can't meet the parents, you don't know where they came from, no health test!, no pedigree and no help. A responsible registed breeder would have done. Health tests, piled you with so much info on the breed, given you a pedigree. show you the parents, and also willing to help as to them that pup is family and by adopting it you have become adopted family! Make sure you do his research! Dalamtions are lovely dogs I have a friend that shows them but make sue they are the right one for you:)

Frankly I would not buy a pet from a store, because so many of them buy from "Puppy Mills"...
Meaning that the dogs that are from those stores, breed the animals like crazy, with low maintenance of the animals, causing greater risk of poor health.
Go to a professional breeder, take the time to see how the dogs are treated, and cared for. They are going to be a part of your family, don't skimp on it.

P.S. The person above also has a good option.

You don't need a pet store. You have the whole web at your fingertips!

Do a search for "Dalmatian breeders" or "Dalmatian rescue" and find one in your area. You'll get a much better dog that way, and a clean conscience knowing you didn't support a puppy mill.

Good luck finding your doggie!

Don't buy from a pet store. Try your local newspaper, puppydogweb.com , breedersclub.net , or puppyfind.com.

Trust me, you will spend about the same amount of money and get a much healthier dog. Especially since Dalmatians have quite a few health and temperament problems, like deafness, hip displaysia, and aggression.

1166 Dalmations on this petfinder search. Put your zip code in and go. All of these need homes they are rescues and in shelters.

DO NOT buy from a pet store.

Look for a RESPONSIBLE breeder, or adopt from a shelter or rescue group. There are lots of Dals out there looking for homes.

http://www.petfinder.com - click "Shelter and Rescue Groups" in the upper right.

none. research the breed, and look for local breeders. don't you want to know the temperment and looks of the parents? know where your puppy was born and raised, what that puppy has been exposed to, and have someone with some sense you can call on if you ever have problems with that puppy. you're not going to find that at a petstore.

ps....you're not making a coat are you?

You should try to rescue one. Because they are more prone to be deaf then other dogs they have a lot of rescue groups for them. Of course training would be a bit more difficult but everything would be so rewarding. Also you can try www.petfinder.com. Do the right thing and adopt!

you need to find a breeder in your area. most pet store can get what you want if you ask them to order one but why pay them to do it for you . the best thing is find a breeder.you can probably find one on the Internet cheaper. good luck and god bless.
