i have a 10 week old kitten.. he was toilet trained (with his kitty litter) when i got him,
and he adjusted really well when we bought him home. he used the kitty litter straight away here... but the last week or so he has been urinating in the corner on the lino of my lounge room.. no where else, just in that one spot.... im not sure why tho.. ive sprayed some citrus spray there (apparently cats hate citrus) and ive sprinkled curry powder there hoping he would not like the smell and stay away..and ive scrubbed it with bleach heaps so it would probly stink of bleach... but hes still doing it!!! anyone please help.. its driving me crazy!!!!!

My boyfriend and I live in a small home with two outside dogs (Rottis) and two inside dogs (Chihuahuas). We currently breed both Rottwielers and Chihuahuas, and are looking to start with a third breed of dog. Considering I travel a lot and sometimes take the Chihuahuas with me, honey wants two other dogs he can keep in the house while I'm gone. We were thinking of either A.) Boxers, or B.) American Pittbull Terriers. I am against the Pitbulls because they are known to be agressive and don't get along well with other small dogs, but would agree to them otherwise. I prefer Boxers because they are well with children and other pets. -I know that a dog's temperment is a combined factor of its breed history, genetics, and also the way it was raised.

So, would it be safe to get a pair of PitBulls and have them in the house with our other two dogs and possibly in the future, children, if they were raised from pups with the other dogs? Or should we just play it safe and get Boxers?
Thanks

I have a very sweet cat (about 8 years old) who insists on howling at night. We've had to start putting her in the garage at night. Why is she doing this, and how can we get her to stop? We leave our bedroom door open so she can sleep on the bed, and she still howls.

To all of you asking questions regarding breeding and trying to justify your foolish acts, when will you learn that wreckless breeding is a terrible crime to commit to the dog world?
Anyone who chooses to breed their dog, or worse, chooses to NOT alter their dog, is sickening in the eyes of us in the rescue world!!
Fact:
On average, 2,009 dogs are euthanized every day in the United States because we are running out of room in the shelters. More puppies are coming in, and there are not enough homes for them.

The Culprits:
Backyard Breeders
Ignorant owners who do not alter their dogs
Designer Dog breeders of mutts who breed solely for profit

The Answers:
Mandatory spay and neuter legislation-all pups over 6 months of age must be altered, otherwise a $2000 fine to represent the number of dogs who have to die every day in the shelters.
Deliquint fines: The dog is seized due to improper care.
Register and License breeders who have full blood females and males to breed.
DO NOT BREED!!!

When I have leftover spaghetti noodles I feed them to my hound dog, but he doesn't eat them plain so I saute them with some butter then he eats them up.

Is there any problem with this?

I read alot of the post by the people here about fish and alot of ttimes when fishes die they tell them to check the water's parameters. What does it actally mean?? I know it has to do with pH. What do I need to get to check my water parameters??
I think I have some problem with my water since my gubbies are dying and are attacking each other. None of my other fish in the same tank are dying except the guppies. My shrimp and neon, barb aint dying but my guppies. Why? Is it cuz of my water aint balance? or what.
PS 4 of my guppies died. 3 female and 1 male. firs 2 females and 1 male died. (these 3 r from the same shop) then i got 2 more female guppies (thats b4 the male died) and now a bigger female guppies is attacking the smaller one so I separted them with a net breeder. Of coz I put the weak one in there then like 5 hr s later the attacker died. It didnt get bite by any fish but part of the body turned black. Is it cuz of posioning??

I recently set up a website aimed at rescuing and homing a number of kitties living on the street near my place. It's at http://www.kittiesinthehood.com... and has live streaming video of the kitties needing homes!
I rescued a nursing mom and have found a home for 1 of her 2 kittens, but no one is expressing an interest in the other one. I think she is gorgeous and don't understand it. It was hard to get her to sit still for good pics. Her pics are on the front page of my website and she also has a "kitten video clip"...please have a look and let me know if you think the pic is the problem? I also have a lot of adults (some that aren't all that friendly yet) and I can understand why it's hard to get them homes, but can't figure out why I can't get a real cute kitten a good home. Thanks
http://www.kittiesinthehood.com
And please don't bother posting negative things, you don't hurt me, only hurt cat's chances of getting homes

I'm currently using Tidy Cat Scoop Crystal Blend. Has anyone found that any of the alternative litters (wheat, corn, newspaper, pine, etc.) work better? I don't want to spend the extra money if they don't. Have you found any that you don't like?

I have had this guinea pig for about a month now, and he bites. Store says they won't take him back, it's been too long. Any ideas of how to break the habit before he really hurts someone?
