I recently set up a website aimed at rescuing and homing a number of kitties living on the street near my place. It's at http://www.kittiesinthehood.com... and has live streaming video of the kitties needing homes!
I rescued a nursing mom and have found a home for 1 of her 2 kittens, but no one is expressing an interest in the other one. I think she is gorgeous and don't understand it. It was hard to get her to sit still for good pics. Her pics are on the front page of my website and she also has a "kitten video clip"...please have a look and let me know if you think the pic is the problem? I also have a lot of adults (some that aren't all that friendly yet) and I can understand why it's hard to get them homes, but can't figure out why I can't get a real cute kitten a good home. Thanks
http://www.kittiesinthehood.com
And please don't bother posting negative things, you don't hurt me, only hurt cat's chances of getting homes

The kitten is very cute! My town in the US, just like every other town has a huge number of kittens that end up in the shelter. I visit often to stop by and play with them. I even go out of my way when on trips to stop at local shelters. From my experience people like to adopt "unique" looking kittens. Kittens with unusal colors or markings. Where I'm from Siamese mixes go very quickly. Unfortunatly, typical or solid coloring such as black and orange seem to be the last to get adopted. The kitten is beautiful though and I wish you luck on finding her a forever home!
Edit:
In addition to getting your webpage connected with local rescues maybe you could put up bulletins at your local vet offices? Maybe also a cheap local paper or pet supply store?

The kitty looks really cute! There are just so many strays out there. Also, not everyone wants to take on a kitten. I don't want to go through training, etc. again; I just adopted an adult cat from the local animal shelter. Good luck - someone will fall in love with her.

i have no idea why you havent found a good home! That is the cutest kitten. i would take the kitty but my cat would not be happy and we would just have to end up finding a good home. one problem could be not that many people know about ur kitty, cause it looks like a sweet one!

Yeah it is probably because not many people have viewed your footage. It says 524 people viewed it, but most of them are probably from a different country than Australia. I am from Canada.
Pet stores around here will take in cats and give them shots before adoption. Some stores pay for the shots, some make you pay.

I'd say the problem isn't the kitten, but your website which isn't much visited. Try posting about it on some pet-related australian boards.
Good luck to the little kitten =)

I think they're beautiful! I volunteer for an animal shelter and find it pretty amazing when no one wants to adopt certain dogs / cats that I think are adorable. But eventually they all do find their forever homes. Why don't you put her up on petfinder.com or smiley per rescue - they are pretty popular. Don't give up - I'm sure that her family will eventually find her :)

they're really cute. i took my kittens to a pet store. good luck. get your cat spayed.
plus the kittens are only 3 wks old, that's probably why no is adopting them yet. wait at least 6 wks before you separated from their mom.

However, since I live in the USA, it might be a little hard.
