I noticed today while I was trimming my orange tabby's back claws that his pads are dry. Is this normal? I've had cats all my life (30 some odd years) and never had this happen. He only goes outside occassionaly and never for more then 5 minutes, especially now that it's cold. My other cat is outside a lot and her pads are fine.

They don't seem to bother him, but I was wondering if there's something I should be doing to prevent this or if it is a symptom of something.

Thanks!

everytime I eat any type of sanwich, even if it doesnt have meat, he begs for it. so sometimes i'll let him have the crust, since I hate it. is this okay for him to eat this. he is a chihuahua/terrier mix, so he is fairly small

Okay my grandfather has Old English Quail Banties and BB red Old English Banties. I was given a banty by the guy who he got his chickens from. I need help getting a breed for her. Its a hen it doesnt have the red top notch or anything. It is solid black with no patterns, she is jet black. She is the size of a small crow. Maybe stands as tall as a pop can if that. Shes post to be full grown. Any ideas of her breed?

I'm only curious, I'm trying to learn about dog shows. Is there any type of breed that is known to be very good in dog shows? Or is it all about training and skill? Thanks!

Can anyone explain why my male St. Bernard layed right on top of my husband, nose to nose when my husband was sick with a bad cold and fever. My dog never did this before. My husband was laying on his back on the couch sick with a terrible cold and fever and my St. Bernard got up on top of him and laid his body stretched out right on top of him. Was he trying to keep him warm or something. He never, ever laid on anyone before. Can someone explain this behavior.

Are St. Bernard dogs really the gentle giants that they are portrayed as, or do they have a mean streak in them. Thank you.

It started with the big furry one, i figured it was just hairballs. But this morning he vomited up all his food. now he is really lethargic and wont eat or drink ANYTHING. About 10 minutes ago my other cat randomly vomited. (no hairballs and now she is acting strange). Please help.

I think rubbing a dogs face into the mess is very cruel so please don't respond with that.Would a puppy training device help with an older dog?I don't think it's a health issue a she time sher pee-pee party at such weird times, when we're home and we never catch her doing it.She also jumps up on the kitchen table when we are there and has no qualms about jumping up on other furniture,She was rescued from a "crack house",in south central.los angeles. No rules there probably,,,

Is this normal? I have 3 fish and one pleco. They almost seem aggressive and when I first bought them they didn't act like carnivores. I feed them once a day, but they follow you around the room and jump their faces above the water like their starving or something. What could be causing this behavoir and what should I do about it?

Someone said that they weren't, is this true? I don't believe them, but I'm just checking. Are there any sites that will inform me about dog shows and about what dogs are aloud and aren't? Thanks!

I know usually on this website people answer very rudeley, but I would like it if you didn't this time. I am very interested in breeding golden rterievers, and I want to know more about it. Yes they aregoing to be purebred and have very good backrounds, I know that. But how do you do the shots? How do you advertise? and over-all what do you do? I know most of you will say... if u don't know about it don't do it! but before anyone learns about something they don't know how to do it. so i just want to learn. Thanks a ton! and please no rude answers, I hate those!
