The fish were exotic goldfish and a pleco. How can I find out what to do to keep new fish from dying if I restock the tank. The water looked clean and clear when they died and no outside poisons got into the tank.

Ok everytime I feed him, he stays away from the bowl.
When my mom or brother feeds him, he eats.

When I pet him, he trys to bite me.
When anyone else pets him, he does nothing but purr

When I hold him, he struggles and bites
When anyone else holdes him, he relaxes and does nothing

When I call for him, he never comes
When anyone else calls for him, he almost always comes

He never sleeps on any of my stuff [pillows, room, bed, etc.]
But he always sleeps on my moms bed, and my brothers pillow.

Please help!!!!!!!

My cat actually had just ONE kitten. Cutest thing ever but he really drives his mom crazy because there are no other kittens to play with.

Okay, my cat is 2 years old, up until about 4 months ago he NEVER had a hair ball or threw up. Now he's had about 5-6 hair balls/thrown up his cat food in those 4 months. Twice in the last three weeks. He doesn't act lethargic or sick and nothing seems to be wrong, but before I make an unnecessary vet visit, I just thought I'd see if anyone else knew reasons why he may be throwing up now. Could it be aging?

In the past 6 months I've adopted two dogs from a) being found stray and b) the animal shelter. I know it would just be a matter of guestimating what the temperments of each animal would be -- but would you like to take a guess and give me some constructive advice?

Dog 1 - Ginger - 1yo spayed female JRT/West Highland Terrier
Dog 2 - Foxy... - 3yo spayed female Chi/Italian Greyhound

They are wonderful pets and get along famously, but I was wondering what I have to look forward to for either girl. We love them SO much! Each is crate trained, walked 2x a day, allowed to play in the yard supervised, and fed Artemis Fresh Mix Small Breed Adult kibble (if any of that applies to their temperment).

Constructive advice appreciated and welcomed.

I am six months pregnant, and over the past couple of months my dog, a 4-year-old spayed lab mix, has been exhibiting unusual behaviors. These include nesting, collecting and placing all her toys in her or our bed, hiding her food dish, and an apparent need to be physically closer to my husband and I. We are watching the special on the National Geographic Channel about animals in the womb, and they're describing similar behaviors as signs of false pregnancy. They explained that the false pregnancy evolved from all of the b*tches in a pack having to raise the pups of the dominant b*tch. I'm wondering if my dog could be going through a sympathetic pregnancy with me, or is she just being weird?

I want to pull a prank on her and this is the most logical I can come up with. She has an important riding demonstration for kids learning to rope and ride. Would viagra pills in his feed give him the b0ner I am trying to achieve? Is it safe? Are there some types of herbs that will cause this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as the demonstration is in 2 days.

I clean their eyes with wet cotton balls dipped in warm water every few hours. It melts away the gunk which prevents the two week old kittens from opening their eyes. When the top hard layer has melted away there is fresh, yellowigh-white stuff that oozes out from the bottom inside corner of their eyes. I clean that up and they are fine for a while. However, when I am at school and sleeping their eyes harden closed again. What can i do to clear the gunk for good?

My friend adopted a Rat Terrier from a shelter last week. The doggie came home with a cough. Now he has a full blown Kennel Cough. She took him to the Vet and he is on antibiotics. The Vet said that should clear on 48 hrs. It's kennel cough contagious for humans, or could I bring the virus with me to my dogs at home since I had the sick doggie on my lap?
