I know usually on this website people answer very rudeley, but I would like it if you didn't this time. I am very interested in breeding golden rterievers, and I want to know more about it. Yes they aregoing to be purebred and have very good backrounds, I know that. But how do you do the shots? How do you advertise? and over-all what do you do? I know most of you will say... if u don't know about it don't do it! but before anyone learns about something they don't know how to do it. so i just want to learn. Thanks a ton! and please no rude answers, I hate those!

If you are interested in breeding pure breads I recommend that you do some research first about what is needed for that particular breed. I am sure that the Golden Retriever Association of America can offer some tips on registering your animals.
We breed Jack Russell Terriers, and I can say from experience it is a lot of work, but in the end it is so worth it. You the breeder are responsible for getting the puppies their first set of shots, and any other recommendations made by your vet at time of birth. Word of mouth through friends is the best way to get the good homes for your puppies, you can also advertise through your vet, and possibly local stores such as Petsmart or Petco. Although there is the option to advertise in the paper, I do not recommend it, you really get the weirdos!
Most important screen all people who are interested in your puppies. Do not just take the money and let them take the puppy. Do your research on what your breed of dog needs in order to grow and be healthy that way you can educate those who wish to purchase a puppy.
Its hard to give the cute little guys away, but when you know they are going to a good home it makes it worth while.

Read every book you can on breeding dogs. There are pro's and con's. Read every book you can on Golden Retrievers. Know them in side out in case you need to answer a question on them. Make sure you have good homes for them. Start off with one female one male. See how it goes. You may not want to do it after the first litter. Some do Some say I WILL NEVER GO THROUGH THAT AGAIN LOL. Look into contracts and how they are used. As for shots I let my vet to that. I cried the first time I cut my dog nails. All I can say to you is educated your self really well before you even begin breeding dogs. You have to know what to do if something goes wrong. You will lose lots of sleep staying up with mommy all night to make sure she and puppies are doing fine. It isn't an easy job when you care about what you are doing. Good luck to you and If you need any help or more questions I would be gladly to help you.

We bred my golden retriever about 6 1/2 years ago and she had great pups. Sadly, we haven't found her in heat since, and she was 2 1/2 then. It sounds like you want it to be more commercial, but we put an ad in the classifieds and relied on word of mouth, but its really not difficult. Take your dog do the vet, along with the stud, for a breeding assessment and he will tell you anything else you need to know. Give the dog at least 3 chances to get inserted with the sperm, because it doesnt always work the first time.

I dont know alot about Golden Reteivers but I will answer to the best of my ability. I bred my Jack Russell her third cycle...she was 2. She just had her litter 5 days ago. I have already had their dew claws removed and their tails docked, and have scheduled their first shots to be given at 4 weeks (vet wanted to give them that early). You pay for all vet costs out of pocket. As for advertising, I just told as many people as I could and posted it on my MySpace. Word of mouth was my best bet. You really dont have to do alot. I bought a used playpen for my mama dog to birth in and raise her pups. I work so I didnt want them to have free roam of the house lol. I put a big stuffed animal that my dog sleeps on in it to show her that it was hers. She never had much to do with the playpen, but lo and behold the day before she gave birth she was in it the majority of them time. Other than that, mif she is in labor and has not had a pup in about 15-20 minutes she needs help delivering is whar I have heard. Mine gave birth with no help and no trouble, She never even whimpered. If she doesnt know what to do automatically yu may want to pull the sack away from the pup so it can breath, She will get the hang of it. But chances are that you wont have to do anything. Good luck with the pups!!

The first step is talk to your vet. find out what he charges for commercial business. He can also help with license many states require pet stores breeders to be licensed. Is there a zoning problem do you need building permits make sure you can put a kennel up. Talk to your neighbors find out if there are any objections. Insurance general liability talk to your broker.

Just look up sites on breeding and Goldens. You won't get all the info you need here. It's not hard to find just take your time and look. and If you are thinking of breeding for a profit , It doesn't always work that way. Just do your research.

the only factor you will do is placed the existence of your woman in possibility. you do not even know the main elementary ideas, what re you going to do if something is going horribly incorrect? Shelters are full of lap canine, my 2 toy Poodles got here from one. upload: Asking a team of strangers that could or will possibly not have a clue isn't accountable, this is the BYB way out. in the adventure that your mom does not like canine that shed, she does not desire a Papillion. They shed. you have not have been given a clue yet you're keen to threat the existence of your canine.

Before you start breeding, just read eevrything that you can about it over the internet. There is so much good info out there. Don't wait until 1 week before the pups are born and then panic because you are not prepared. Just educate yourself as much as you can. Good luck.
